You can use this trick to make right to left combos like this straight, chain music, left jab, uppercut and that because chain music start with right hand and end with left
Heyo Mike! I learned a lot from you and finally decided to really get my butt in gear and play really well at God Hand! Your counterhit advice has been incredible and it's like a whole new game! I thought you should know tho, that your methodology is flawed here. Attacks from the same side do not seem to come out faster at all. You tested left hook and jab, but that only proves that those particular moves have quick animations. I tested a variety of combos using this method: Arena 39 Great Sensei Start round with Yanker > YMK > Left dodge > YMK > up dodge > unelash mash square until god hand ends. I then hovered a window over the life of GS and took a save state. I repeated this test a number of times per combo to account for frame drops or bad mashing. Also GS recovers after the second YMK so you may start the combo with a counter hit if he winds up an attack that works out for the timing. Regardless, i repeated the tests many times and was consistent with my results, not including those times I got counter hits. I also rearranged every combo i used. Using all the same moves, I had an order that had as few swap overs from left to right as possible, and then an order that had as many. Every single combo out of almost two dozen that i've tried scored the same DPS in GH regardless of their order and configuration. OFC order matters for situations such as: maximizing damage/stun during a guard break, or having a good first three moves for fishing for a block without hurting your ability to cancel and such. Just wanted to let you know that as of my thorough tests, it doesn't matter what moves come from what side, as far as speed of the moves and thus DPS is concenered. If anyone sees a flaw in my methodology I'd love to hear it! I just came up with this test on my own, but it seems like a good way to test this out. Other fun results: -When considering GH DPS, 4 hit combos are better than 6 hits by a wide margin. Assuming you are using the fastest moves, such as jab/straight/uppercut/left hook/right hook/short upper/long straight. Obviously a 4 hit combo made of only lengthy kicks would be bad DPS compared to a 6 hit combo of faster moves. -The strongest configuration appears to be almost the starting moveset, just replace left hook with Long Straight. Order doesn't matter, but for the sake of being good at poking guards, i prefer Jab > straight > upper > long straight. Overall I prefer 6 hits tho, as it means more dps outside of godhand for things like juggles and punishes during dizzy. Fifth and sixth hit don't matter during Guardbreak since enemies appear to take a max of 4 attacks even if you choose the very fastest. That being said.... -Using a mach jab on your fourth hit and a fast multhit like Floating Butterfly somewhere before that will guarantee dizzy on all non-boss/Tiger Joe enemies. Maybe not on demons? It works for sure on everyone in Death shudder that isn't tiger joe/trident demon/maybe zebra guy. Haven't tested it that thoroughly. I'm playing on NOrmal but using save states to keep myself locked to level die for the whole mission. I know hard has +20% HP and one less roulette orb, but I don't think dizzy values are changed, correct me if i'm wrong. My current combo is Bfly > jab > straight > mach jab all at highest level, and it always dizzies after a guard break, even if the break is the first thing that connects with the enemy. -In general, multhits reduce your dps and single hits are better dps in godhand, pretty much across the board tho I didn't test EVERY single attack. Obivously there are many other factors to consider, but I like a decent amount of multhits in my string. As of all this testing tho, I have chosen to reduce my multhits by a tad and put in some stronger single hits. For reference, Long Straight 3 and Elbow Spin 3 both total 24 damage, but any combo that uses ES over LS will do noticeably less DPS using my methodology. OFC ES has better stun and it juggles enemies easier so there's plenty of reason to use it if you want. -If any players are like me and prefer using the short moves first, then I recomend trying out Bfly in first, then jab >straight. I cannot react fast enough to throw guard breaker at the right timing after the first two hits. I often press a third hit and if that's a multihit then it probably gets me parried. If i put the multihit first (unless it's a long one like mach jab or vortex) then I have the entire duration of the multihit to look for a block and choose to break or continue probing them with the next two attacks. At that point I throw jab > straight and go for the guard break. It has gotten me noticeably more gaurd breaks than the tradition jab > straight > Break > dodge formula. For clarity, I am proposing: Bfly > look for guard during the long animation > break OR > jab > straight > break > dodge. Play how you want, ofc, but consider my reasoning and see if it helps you out if you're a struggling Alexander like myself! I changed my late-game combo from Bfly > jab > mach jab > Bee > Elbow Spin > vortex into Bfly > jab > sraight > mach jab > uppercut > long straight. My DPS against dizzied enemies or while in GH is MUCH higher, and as I said before the first 4 hits always dizzy after guard break on non bosses. Even against bosses I imagine this must be very high dizzy. You can probably get more if you have another multhit move in second slot, and maybe move mach jab to third so they all fit in the guard break window, but this gets a bit of both worlds and is much easier to fish for blocks with.
Yeah this is something I noticed when playing it myself several years ago (but long since forgotten about since I have barely played it for the past years, so thanks for this showcase!). It's basically like chains in fighting games, but the rule here is that it they only chain into moves using the same limb.
wow, new God Hand video but already? Moike, there are others ... LOL, Keep making this game video whenever possible because God Hand is Legendary and will never be forgotten, and we want a God Hand 2, if Capcom doesn't do it someday, fans will end up creating
@DhimasWp XD Yes, I would also have a hard time buying, even more because I am from Brazil and the conditions here are horrible, but just because if there was a second game, I would be super happy, but of course it would have to be at the same pace as the first
@DhimasWp XD I don't have the most high end PC either but i don't think that should be a reason to take away the chance of other people to play if a PC Remaster where ever to happen. "That will make PS2 Legends" just because it's a legend doesn't mean it shouldn't be brought for new audiences, look at DMC3 A Legend in it's own right and the last iteration of that game was last month! I'd much rather good games being given new chances than let them be remembered only by the people who played at the time of release.
And hey here you are again ? Nice Oh so that's how you called It ? Fast Chain Animation Link ? I didn't have a name but i noticed that during my play with left jab followed by Mach Speed jab or Chin Music or Stinger Bee. It's up to choice really but with chin music It kinda helps at the start with the timing of breaking guard
I read M. Larson's analysis where he said he didn't see a difference in move duration when alternating between left/right-handed moves. Could it be an illusion? Hell, that analysis is from '07 anyway....
Probably because company Developers have a lack of imagination to commit to this which is why some of their games are lackluster in mechanical depth thus they don't have the imagination to commit on it. It is the reason why they hire other creative Developers use them then get rid of them when they feel like it doesn't bring in the cash for them and thus killing the creation of awesome Productions of these types of games provide. To them it's not an creative endeavor it's a money endeavor. Plain and simple. see the ironic problem here?
I've gotten back into playing this game, and I remember being quite horrible at the game... cause I was playing on each at the time anyway I have always tried to have combos come from alternating hands for style... but if they link better with one hand then of course I'll be doing that
nice, you're almost done so I hope you enjoyed your playthrough, remember there's over 50 arena challenges to complete after you beat the game, newgame+ starts you back from the beginning without money but all the moves are unlocked from the get go as long as you have the money to buy them (use cheat engine for infinite gold, or grind chihuahua races at the cost of your sanity)
@@MilkKoba69 haha thank you but i think i'm good now. I beat it!!! i loved the game!! it was a nice challenge. it tested my hand/finger joints to the max haha. i'll now watch speedruns to see what you can do in the game. i probably missed a lot of tricks and mechanics. I got tilted sometimes and didn't like some aspects of the game but overall, it was quite enjoyable.
So, try to keep a chain of like 3 punches then use something like elbow spin or chin music to swap hand and continue the combo? also, are hooks any good? i'm trying to fit them in my combos but it seems kinda choppy
That... That actually explains a lot and why some combos, despite looking like they should flow well, simply don't.
Don't call it a comeback, he's been here for years

My Favorite Moves Is Haymaker Of God
I like that you always use the full 6 move slots. Some people swear that you should never use more than 4. What are your thoughts on that?
Idk I remember seeing some people on Gamefaqs saying it a long time ago. It's even in the move/combo analysis guide.
yeah yeah i know
well, i guess if you really suck at the game and want to beat it, that might be useful lol.
