Reminds me of another one which did it during a thunderstorm. I think a thunderstorm caused a blackout at a airport for 20 seconds as a plane was landing. Plane bounced as it could not see anything. Bounce caused the front wheel to wedge into the plane forcible bending the flight controls. This caused the plane to veer off the runway into a field. All while the airport was out of power for half a minute. Tower saw a plane landing and suddenly no plane. I think a few injured people walked to the airport and that's how they found the plane. Forgot which plane it was. So yes it is insane and requires a hard impact but planes can bounce but they usually get heavily damaged in the process

1. the fatal accident happened when flight 80 was gonna land, but the pilot could not extend the landing gear. they encircled Narita but there was no changed. both pilots decided they will land without all landing gear. then it bounced and kaboom. 2. yes both pilots died in the crash.
it was human error and turbulence. the turbulence kept fluctuating the landing speed, and they were too slow. by then, the "retard mode" throttle mechanism automatically slowed down the aircraft, making it worse. When they approached the runway, the sink rate was too high. So they touched down with the defective landing gear (which wasn't really the major problem) and bounced due to the sink rate. The captain, fearing a tailstrike, pushed down. When they bounced again, the captain should have realized that the plane was bouncing, but i think he failed to because of the turbulence and control. The captain pushed back down again, but last minute realized he was bouncing (too late). The captain went full throttle and pulled up, known as the bouncing recovery. Byt hen it was too late, teh plane tipped and expldoed.
It’s crazy how a enormous machine like this is capable of literally “bouncing” on the runway

You can see that the plane bounced and slowly went to the left while in the process of slowing down after landing
There was a 40 knot crosswind, that's probably what blew it over to that side.
I feel bad for the pilots, also the Landing gear bugged in the plane is top notch, RIP pilots, fly higher.
