I'm pretty sure that this kind of CV would be pretty crap for applicant tracking systems (ATS) which scan your resume to screen out 95% of applicants before a person sees your resume. 85% of companies use ATS systems and with 95% of resumes not being seen by a person using this resume may be a bad idea. If it was provided in person I'm sure this would be fine though.
Hi, Great video! I love the final CV at the end and I think it looks very stylish. I have given most of this a go. As a person who works in IT and specifically with applications that process CV's I just have to mention that the CV you send will not necessarily be seen by the consultant with the same font as you wish. Not many corporate companies will have many fonts available to them apart from the usual ones available via Microsoft. I would highly recommend using standard fonts like Arial / Calibre (I know they are UGLY!). I used this tutorial, sent the CV across our system that extracts the data and the final version was not as pretty as original unfortunately :(. Also, there were parts where you could have grouped whole bits and then copied and pasted and saved loads of time :)
Saying this works for me every time! I didn't do a professional resume because I wanted to be original. I also didn't want to spend a week making one because I'm busy doing what the resume is for working.

Hey Advance, i cannot make the rectangle shape to be covered for full length of the page, i your edit i can see you can move the rectangle up till the end of the page but i cannot move to the top up, there is always a gap on the top, how i can i remove the top gap? i've tried to custom the header to 0cm, still its not working. pls advice.
Hi! I had the same problem, and when I tried to move the text boxes or shapes they placed randomly in the document where I didn't want them to be. Then I saw that there's a button up on the right, "Position", which pop up when you mark a text box or shape - and where you can change the position of the box/shape exactly where you want it (you can see the button in the video at 0:54 for example). And that worked for me, no white gap! And up in the right corner you can also change the shapes/boxes width and height.

+Mustafa Tahmin you can change background color of the page if you use use 1 color with no need rectangle
