Oh Luise! I wish you were my neighbor! I wouldn’t let you borrow my washing machine, but I would supply the alcohol. I was captivated and entranced by your story in the beginning, and then, I was horrified/but howling at what happened to your wonderful journal. You teach such meaningful lessons. Washing machines are a no-no, but experimenting keeps us on our toes! This video is one of my all time favorites! Wish I could give it ten thousand thumbs up!
Sandy, you can go to the German video and at least be able to give each one a thumbs up for a total of two! It's not 10,000, but it's something! Hehehe...
Luise, I watch you because you are NOT “normal!” I love the way your mind thinks, and I am so happy nothing has changed as far as you are still your beautiful and creative and fun self!! 🤍🤍
I laughed out loud when Gary poured your drink and you just flatly said, "That isn't enough." That was so funny....and probably so true! What a fun and enjoyable video! Something completely different. I loved it!
Oh, my! When you walked back into the laundry room and there was water (and journal) all over the floor, all of a sudden 49dragonflies Barbara’s voice was in my head saying, “Oh no!!!! OOOOOH NOOOOOO!!!” 😮 Now I can’t wait to see what you do with the surviving pieces and how you’re going to cook your next book! ❤
Gary is such a legend not just letting you go on adventurous dates with other men & journals but also cleaning up after the poor journal dissolved. From one experimenter to another, try steaming your next journal or make sure that everything you use to colour isn’t water reactive - I tried Brushos & Oxides in a boiling pot & they wash away 😢 The Spray Stains seem like a better plan. Good luck & RIP to the washing machine - it served us well 🤭
Oh Luise! From the creative and captivating storytelling, to the flood on the floor, to the “give me more alcohol” - I haven’t laughed this much in ages! Thank you for sharing all of YOU with US! 💖
O….MY…GOODNESS!!!!!! Luise!!! This is so funny, entertaining, mischievous and amazing❤❤❤❤ I love that you are not afraid to experiment. Thanks for taking us along so we do not do this. Lol. Shadow moss? Maybe that could be the color name for the lace?
Luise, I’ve always said, your journals end up turning out spectacularly, and this one is the ultimate surprise. You always keep your videos interesting and this one is a memorable one, to say the least! I was concerned that the paper would turn into mulch but I didn’t expect that all the paper would disappear! You do have some wonderful pieces to play with. Sounds like the end result matches the end of the date. Life goes on and so does the story of this journal. Your storytelling as you played with this journal was so captivatingly delightful. You are an absolute hoot, Luise, and I love your incredible art spirit I bet the completion of this adventure will turn out amazing because all your journals are incredible Can’t wait to see what happens to this incredible journal.
Loved your dating story and almost had a heart attack when I saw what happened with the journal after washing 😮. I’m 100% certain that you will make something beautiful out of the remains! And I can’t believe I recently mentioned in my video that I wouldn’t wash my journal 😂😂😂
I have to say...I had a feeling this was going to happen because I make paper. LOL Your story had me laughing out loud. My weird thoughts when you were cleaning up the washing machine was "I would make paper out of that slush" lol. Can't wait for part 2.
Definitely think the thread in the tangle is from the frayed fabric. Most paper not made to be used with water (filters are made for water) will disintegrate if left in water too long and definitely with agitation! (Been there, done that.) I'm sorry it made such a mess in your laundry area! I think cooking will do the same thing if left long enough, but it's something to try. Or make your pages from fabric and add the paper as you decorate it. Of course once the paper is added, no more washing. Wet in the rain, maybe, but no washing machine! 😢 ❤❤❤
This was very fun to watch! You are brave, adventurous, and creative. I can't wait to see what you do with the lovely pieces that are left from that journal 💕💕
Oh my goodness! I laughed so hard when I saw the remnants of your journal. Maybe next time just dip the journal into a pot of warm water. I loved all of the things you threw into the journal.
Holy Moly! The washing machine experiment was mind boggling! I can’t understand how it came all undone and all the pages became pulp. Talk about an original technique! 😂. I was glued to my iPad the whole time to find out what happened. And you had me laughing out loud during your storytelling. You’re the best!
😊😉🙄🙁😲🤯😖😵😇Was loving the story... beautiful colors...Luise never disappoints...what, washing machine..oh,no her beautiful journal...get out the bubbly, Cheers 🥂...on to the next experiment. This was out of this world adventure. Thank you, Luise for sharing your life with us❤
If you find a new man to date, see if he has a friend or brother so I can come along! You are an incredible storyteller! Thanks for sharing and I'd plan to keep Gary!!
Luise, your so funny, I can't remember when I went on a date, 10 years ago. I enjoy my life, debit free and 2 dogs Tucker and Molly, Imlove it love it. Glad about your date. Big hugs.
Luise, you are one in a million! Gary is a saint being the clean up man! You both needed a drink after this...I was excited to see the how the pages would turn out...before the washing machine🤣🤣🤣
Oh my goodness you are amazing. Let’s face it this was an epic fail, but the best part is your positive beautiful attitude in finding the beauty in the rough. Your husband if upset inside, showed no signs of frustration and toasted the experiment. What a special creative couple indeed❤️
Ahhhh, the hazards of being a mad scientist! There are just those experiments that just don’t go according to plan. I so enjoy your sense of humor. I bet Barbara is saying “Oh no!”
I was showing my husband n he said maybe a short while in the washer. I said maybe in a pot of boiling water for a few mins. Then you say that is your next experiment. Lol. Love it. We think so much alike. I noticed that about you right away. A lot of times I don’t show my true self because I’m not like others. I think way different. Then I realized you think so much like me n ppl love you. That makes me happy. Ppl say I talk to much n go too much into detail but love when you do. Just shows me there are ppl out their but I just didn’t find many who like my different way of thinking n doing. ❤
From the moment I saw the title of the video I began to suffer, but, like when we see the protagonist of a movie to the point of death, I thought nothing will happen to him. Then I saw the temperature at which you had put it and I thought, it will leave it 5 minutes, nothing happens. And then, snif, The Horror. Your videos never disappoint, they teach us that we must continue despite everything. (although I still suffer from the washing machine). Thank you for sharing and making us feel better when we are doing not so well. I send you a hot hug from Buenos Aires (30 ° temperature today)
Hi Luise, Well.... I have used washing machines for many things, but never a journal, lol. I love that you are brave enough and fun-loving enough to give this a try. You are always full of delightful surprises and this one tops them all. If I could drink any type of alcholoic beverage ( medicines wont permit it) I would certainly toast you. Well done!!!!! Keep going!!!! I am looking forward to how this comes out. May the next guy you date be a foreigner, perhaps from America, that loves an adventurous, funny, kind, and very smart lady like yourelf. Lol, lol. Take care and many blessings to you and yours, and also to those you meet.
Luise, you are a HOOT! I joined you in a couple of drinks. Girl, we both deserved it!. Your piece with the stitched in the centre could be sewn in the middle into a signature so some of the stitches are still visible. Can't wait to see the result. I admire your positivity when things go pear-shaped❤❤❤
I don't know what to say first...that Gerri is a sweetheart for letting you date other men, that you have the best sense of humor on the planet, that I was captivated with your story right from the start, that I was horrified at the look of the laundry room after the experiment....I could go on. Needless to say, I can't wait for episode 2 of this series!!! ☺
Absolutely LOVED following along on this journey! I haven’t been on RUclips lately so at first I was shocked thinking you and Gary had broken up, but then partway through, I realized 😅 You’re so talented, so creative… it’s amazing! I had high hopes for the journal until you added the soap and set it for such a long cycle. I thought maybe cold water on delicate with no soap but even that might’ve been a mess! So much fun to watch! And definitely a great reminder that trying new things is important and fun even if they don’t always turn out the way you had hoped! 💕
The thread is from fraying the edges of the fabrics. It was a disastrous experiment, but your story did make me laugh. I might try the experiment but would steam the journal for about an hour on a rack above the water. That is what I do with my eco prints.
Perhaps a shorter washing cycle may have worked lol. I loved the story of your ‘date’. Looking forward to seeing what you create next. Thanks for the giggles.
You make me laugh. Definitely, the craziest thing I've seen done with a journal, lol, may it rest in peace. Look forward to seeing what you do with the surviving pieces.
I was watching with great anticipation as you destroyed those pages. Then horrified when the book disintegrated in the wash. You are such a good sport and I love your enthusiasm. ❤
OMGoodness... when you first started talking about "a date" my heart was breaking but you certainly held my attention. When you were talking about putting it I'm the washing machine, I think my chin hit my knees. At the end, I was in shock, but I can't remember the last time I has such an enjoyable laugh either. The outcome was not quite what I was expecting but you have some beautiful souvenirs from the experience. I can't wait to see what you create with the renants; I think your 'leftover' cover is amazing.
P.S. You can try the 'pot & stove' method, but remember, paper and water are not good friends - too much time together and hearts begin to break. Fabric pages might make a better companion for the water?
Oh girl you had me from the very beginning about “going on a date, which doesn’t happen at my age”. 🤣 I’m just past my mid ‘60’s, been divorced for 11 years and have no desire to “go on a date” what so ever! 🤣🤣 Then when you finished adding a little zing to the journal, spilled cover all over it, you wrapped it up tight to wash it. I thought oh what a clever idea! But oh my!! 🫣😱 I wonder what the results would be if used a top loading machine on gentle cycle? 🤔 Loved this journey, thanks for sharing! Have a blessed day!
I'm right there with you !! Will be 67 in April and have no desire to go on a dare!! Too much effort lol !! My husband passed away almost 14 years ago. Went on dates about 10 years ago. Nope... I'm good!!
Oh, Luisa! What a hilarious experiment. I’m glad to see that you’ve got some usable pieces even if none of the paper survived. I look forward to the next video.
Boy did you pull me in to your story...I was captivated with each word. I love the look of what's left of the cover! The wad of twine stuff is so interesting! Hope the laundry guy wasn't upset with you. He shouldn't have been he got a drink out of it! ha I can't wait to see the next video!!! You're crazy and amazing Luise! And I mean crazy is good way!! ha
Luise: WHAT? Well,- this is a first for me. Most adventurist! I know whatever you create, it will be just great. Gary has a lot of patience. Carol from California
Oh my goodness!😄😄😄😄 This was hilarious...well, except for the destruction of your journal.😕 You have proven that not only are you a Grunge Master and Junk Journal Maven, you are an Expert Storyteller, too!👍🏻👍🏻 When I saw that you were walking to a community laundry room, and then as I watched you prepare the journal for its final destination, my thought was "The property manager is going to love this!"😲 AND you documented your escapade where it will live on the internet forever!🤫 I can see the manager knocking on your door..."Luise, would you happen to know what happened to the washing machine?"🤭 Additionally....you are lucky to have a remarkable husband who: 1) let's you go on dates 2) cleans up your mess and helps hide the evidence 3) washes dishes and 4) pours you a drink at the end of it all! ❤ We should all be so fortunate.😉
Fabulous to see Gerri again but I am sorry that your idea didn’t work out the way you hoped. My thought was that I would have loved to watch this video with Barbara we would have laughed cried and yelled at you to stop. Keep experimenting it is very entertaining. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦
This was the craziest journal video I have ever seen. Only you would do this kind of "experiment."! Alcohol was a fitting end after the clean up! I was laughing so hard! My husband came in near the end and he commented "she's a nut"! Loved this video! Can't wait for part 2!!!
What a saint Garri is. I always thought he was pretty great as your partner but Wow! He supports your dates with younger men and cleans up with you when disaster strikes. 🥂 have another drink. 😂😂😂 I can’t believe you didn’t cry for hours at losing your beautiful journal but of course you just took it as a fascinating experiment and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here. Oh my gosh! How funny! You’re are completely fascinating Luise! 🤗🇨🇦🤗 Liz
I love this video! Your storytelling is the best. I was enveloped in the story, even thinking the idea of washing the journal was going to enhance the colors. Oh my goodness! You had me laughing out loud. Your attitude is infectious! Thanks for the experiment, and I’m looking forward to your coming creation.
Oh, Luise, you are so silly in the best way. 😂😂😂 That was craaazzzy fun. I wasn't feeling too well, and thanks to you and your artful silliness, my health has improved this morning. ❤❤❤
Oh my goodness! I can’t believe what happened to your journal in the washing machine! You got some good stuff to work with though in the end. You are a hoot and very entertaining.
OMG There goes your beautiful journal 😿! And Gary is so much better than that young kid in the park 💗I watched your video 2x, the second time with my husband who was watching it wide-eyed and felt very sorry for you! But we also laughed together at how you handled this and toasted together (only with wine)! lol
This was quite the adventure you brought us on 😂 And I thought your hammer technique was scary, childs play in comparison. welcome to 2024! I Love you Luise ❤❤❤😂
I can say with all honesty that this is the most entertaining video I have ever seen, and I mean ever! I can't figure out why you wanted to put that beautiful journal in the washing machine or how you ever came up with the idea, but it sure was fun, although Fritz might not agree. I can't wait for Part 2.
Dear Luise while I enjoyed the journey of you date and the deconstruction of your jounal this probably is not one I will do. First I am not sure my washing machine would understand and the plumber cost too much. Lol. I do love the color. This was an interesting way to get ephemera and book cover. Good luck on getting a better date. You make me smile.
Oh Luise! I wish you were my neighbor! I wouldn’t let you borrow my washing machine, but I would supply the alcohol. 😂😂😂😂
😳.........🤣🤣🤣🤣.My husband said "dont even think about it"

Perfect 🎉
This is the epitome of light-hearted art. Luise, keep it up and you will have the washing-machine repairman as your new man!
😂
🤣🤣🤣
Best video yet! 😂 I was fascinated, horrified, laughing, intrigued - all the emotions.
My feelings exactly!! Kudos to you, Luise, for your bravery at putting that fabulous journal into the washing machine!
Gary is such a legend not just letting you go on adventurous dates with other men & journals but also cleaning up after the poor journal dissolved. The best just absolutely the best junk journal adventure ever!!
Great experiment. I loved your forensic approach on the remains. ❤
You are such a joy to watch and listen to. Note to self, never try to wash a journal in the washing machine. You are one of a kind💙
Oh Luise! From the creative and captivating storytelling, to the flood on the floor, to the “give me more alcohol” - I haven’t laughed this much in ages! Thank you for sharing all of YOU with US! 💖
O….MY…GOODNESS!!!!!! Luise!!! This is so funny, entertaining, mischievous and amazing❤❤❤❤
I love that you are not afraid to experiment. Thanks for taking us along so we do not do this. Lol.
Shadow moss? Maybe that could be the color name for the lace?
Oh, the way you told that story and turned it into art! 😱🥴🥴🥴 Simply amazing Luise!! THAT is art!!
Chickie, I think you actually did partake of the rosmarihuana. That’s the only way to explain this craziness🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣 well..... if you know, you know 🤣
😂😂😂

So audacious nd fun experiment! WHY NOT ?! I kept asking myself....If I did it, I can do another , as many as I want. SO INSPIRING LUISE
Normal is boring! So glad you are not normal. Love your stories and unique creativity! Hugs and blessings, 🤗❤️🇨🇦
Oh poor Gary..hubby not your hubby is so good to you letting you go on not one date but now another date...such a good man
You are amazing and so much fun and FEARLESS !!!!
I cannot believe I watched this as long as I did. Absolutely insane.
Insanely funny, yes?
Luise was having a bit of silliness.🤭🤭😄👍🏻
I hope you at least enjoyed the insanity.😁
Loved your dating story and almost had a heart attack when I saw what happened with the journal after washing 😮. I’m 100% certain that you will make something beautiful out of the remains! And I can’t believe I recently mentioned in my video that I wouldn’t wash my journal 😂😂😂

This has to be the funniest thing ever!!!! and you never give up. Cheers to you and your creative experiments.
It’s like you’re seasoning the journal with lots of wonderfully fragrant spices!! Love love love the story ❤❤❤
Oh Luise! Thank you for the tears of laughter. You are a true gem 🥰
And such a great way to "wash away" that experience .
You have successfully shown us why journals should NEVER get washed. No matter how dirty they are. 😂😂❤
I love that you're playful and adventurous!
Definitely think the thread in the tangle is from the frayed fabric. Most paper not made to be used with water (filters are made for water) will disintegrate if left in water too long and definitely with agitation! (Been there, done that.) This was very fun to watch! You are brave, adventurous, and creative. I can't wait to see what you do with the lovely pieces that are left from that journal 💕💕
Oh m’y goodness! You have to be Luise Heinzl to try something like this! 😂 And we are so lucky to be able to watch! 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you, Luise for sharing your life with us❤
Love your adventurous spirit! Thanks for the laughs! Cannot wait to see what the remains become and how the next experiment goes!
How cute, you made a story of your journal, I love it. I would let it all dry then glue some stuff. Its beautiful!!!
Big hugs.
Luise you crack me up! The best experiment ever. The alcohol was bonus! You are absolutely the best.
Luise, you are one in a million! Gary is a saint being the clean up man! You both needed a drink after this...I was excited to see the how the pages would turn out...before the washing machine🤣🤣🤣

fantastic results! I love the altered materials. hope you didn't get into too much trouble xxx

What an adventure!!
🤣🤣I really didn’t expect that results! Can’t wait to see the wonderful project you will turn this into.

R. I. P., beautiful little journal! Drowning in a sea of soapy water is always a tragedy. But we will pick up the pieces (literallly) and carry on. 😬
this video was so much fun! the love story that ended in mush has a cliffhanger that I can't wait to see!
You truly made me laugh! I’m sure I’m not the only one who, in her best Barbara voice, exclaimed, Oh NO!
LUISE, you make my heart sing. Your ability to turn a negative into a positive is inspiring. 😊

I've liked the story, I've liked the dirty journal. I am so sad that it was destroyed in the washing machine.
Well, don't be sad.... I had fun making it, I had fun with this experiment, I can always make a new one.....no reason to be sad ❤️
I was watching with great anticipation as you destroyed those pages. Then horrified when the book disintegrated in the wash. You are such a good sport and I love your enthusiasm. ❤
Ps. Your story was so funny! I was on pins and needles
Loved this! You have one hellava man! In a millions yrs I would not have tried that very adventurous

When I saw that you were walking to a community laundry room, and then as I watched you prepare the journal for its final destination, my thought was "The property manager is going to love this!"😲
AND you documented your escapade where it will live on the internet forever!🤫
I can see the manager knocking on your door..."Luise, would you happen to know what happened to the washing machine?"🤭
Additionally....you are lucky to have a remarkable husband who:
1) let's you go on dates
2) cleans up your mess and helps hide the evidence

We should all be so fortunate.😉
You are CRAZY fun to watch! Love the video, love you!!
Oh my Luise you had me in stitches!!! I love your creativity and sense of humor
I love your can do approach there is so much inspiration for a remake, it’s a metaphor for life isn’t it x
Wow. Crazy. Maybe not as long of a wash cycle would have worked. Could the string be from the towel? Love your experiment. Sorry it made such a mess.
That was craaazzzy fun. I wasn't feeling too well, and thanks to you and your artful silliness, my health has improved this morning. ❤❤❤
Thank goodness we have you to learn from… all the do’s and don’ts! Thank you!!❤
Oh my goodness! I can’t believe what happened to your journal in the washing machine! You got some good stuff to work with though in the end. You are a hoot and very entertaining.
I have seen journals wrapped and tied, and left in tidal pools, to be rescued the next day. So, not such a shock for me!
You are truly fearless for art!
You are the best!!😂😂 Thank you for your sacrificial journal ❤. Love your experiments
I finally had a chance to watch this! It was so fun. ❤
I enjoyed this video so much! Keep sharing your experiments. I love the way your mind works.
So funny!!🎉 I love e your comedy! You bring me so many smiles and I learn more and more about making journals! 🎉🎉
Hahaha, ich habe so viel gelacht! Your story, your experiment... all crazy but so funny and, as usual, inspiring!
