I think the reason why it works for Superman is because the concept of fatherhood and family in general is sorta ingrained in his character through his upbringing and teachings with the Kents and the Els love to save him from Krypton. So when He and Lois have a family together, it just makes sense. Spider-Man would’ve had similar journey through his growth, boy to man to father. Logically speaking he should have a family like Batman, The Flash, Fantastic Four, Venom. But he’s isn’t :( I’m still hopeful one day that mainline Pete will get to something like the current USM. Honestly I've been saying for decades that peter parker and Mary jane should be married and have there daughter mayday parker spider-girl alive and kicking in the mainstream marvel universe because come on, like you said there are so many stories right there with peter parker and Mary jane being parents and they have there daughter mayday parker spider-girl alive and kicking and its a massive success, that it drives me crazy that marvel won't just admit they screwed up badly with there prize character and just give us back there marriage in the main marvel universe and letting them be parents would sell gangbusters. Heck when superman rebirth happened and we got to see clark kent and Lois lane be parents to there son Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy as his little 10 year old self i was so happy that i instantly bought every trade paperback and hardcover of both superman and action comics during this time period that I was so happy to own this era of superman from the beginning to the end. Heck it was also thanks to that era we got my favorite team the super sons with both Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy as his little 10 year old self and Damian Wayne robin being a great team and was tons of fun, and while yes I am still pissed off and angry of what happened to my boy Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy being aged up for garbage stories nobody wants to read myself included. I will give DC credit where its do they at least still have superman and Lois still be married and they are still parents which is cool, even though i would rather have Jonathan Samuel Kent back to his little 10 year old self and reunite with his family bur that's just my opinion. In conclusion i would rather have Spider-Man peter parker and Mary Jane have there daughter mayday Parker Spider-girl alive and kicking in the main marvel universe like the mc2 universe over the current garbage we have now but that's just my opinion.
That would be an interesting challenge for Superman. It would make people who thought Superman was boring and unrelatable would change their minds and feel sorry for him.
I TOTALLY relate to this, especially lately with he newer comics Spider-Man has been through it all, one of the only 'superman' comics that got close to Spider-Man's life was the injustice timeline, even that wasn't that close, so yeah, Superman as of right now reigns supreme over Spider-Man like you said in your vid, which to be frank is pretty well written for a content creator of your size, keep up the good work 👍
Just because Superman and Spiderman powers are far different from each other doesn't mean they can't be compared, they are a lot more similar then you think, They both want to help everyone, they both are nerds and they're both pretty fun characters. I hate that a lot of people compare Spiderman to Batman when personality wise they are different in every other way, Batman is always serious and calculating while Spiderman is fun loving and helpful like Superman, the only thing they both have common is that they both want to help everyone they can and bring the good within them but that's every hero's trope. That's why Superman makes a lot more sense because you don't need super powers to be a hero, all you have to do is help people.
