    Primrose not making it in the end, defeats the whole purpose. 💔😭😭😱😱 I remember being so mad at the end of reading the books that I threw it across the room and screamed.
    No matter what had happened to Katniss, and the trauma she lived. I could always look at Prim and say, "Well at least Prim made it". But going through all that depressive rollicoaster ride "JUST TO FIND OUT THAT PRIMROSE END UP JUST DYING IN THE END". Made me lose Mt sh*^.. 🤬🤬🤬 Thanks Susan Collins.
    "Remember Me" was also deeply sad. It was even more impactful because I had lived during the 9/11 date. I remember it was a horrific and traumatizing day in history just right up there with Columbine. 😭😭🙈🙈💔 Tyler didn't even get to make amends with his dad.

    • @thewolfandherbooks
      @thewolfandherbooks Год назад +5

      Actually, Primrose not making it is the point. The Hunger Games is not a fairytale or a happily ever after. She died because of Gale and Coin. She was a symbol of innocence and purity. Her death was about the never ending cycle war and showed how both sides were corrupt. That's why Hedwig dies in Harry Potter. Hedwig was a symbol of Harry's innocence and it was signifying his transition to adulthood. In real life, children die in war but the news rarely reports on it. That's the brutal reality.

      Actually the fact that she got to live at all beyond the day that she got called to the Hunger Games is a blessing and she blessed many others working for the Red Cross or whatever it was called, healing people. Be glad that she didn't join a group of gang rapists like Tasha Yar's younger sister did to survive and then try to blow up the Enterprise for revenge/war purposes. Some sisters that get left behind turn evil after their lives are saved, like mine did from the human trafficking and murder I saved her from when she was a 5 year old child while sacrificing myself as a 12 year old child to be tortured and trafficked. She still got raped when I wasn't there and then she turned evil as a grown up and she trafficked me too and tried to kill me, after I had done everything in my power to keep her alive and stop her from being raped.

    9:56 Of this entire list of movies that I've watched one each, the one that has moved me the most is unequivocally Remember Me. Throughout this film although mundane, this family drama can already inevitably resonate loudly in the viewers heart. It makes you realize that life is far from being a smooth ride, tragedies happen, mistakes are made, easy judgments hurt, but in the end, we feel and grow, as long as we allow ourselves introspection to understand the meaning we want to give to our life despite everything that surrounds us, everything that has happened to us or our surroundings.
    At the final sequence of this film, we have a light heart, because each person has taken the time to feel and grow, to finally move forward. Then, there is this date that appears on the board, this date that I didn't even realize, that I read without reading, without making the connection. Then we see Tyler (Robert Pattinson) coming to stand in front of his father's office windows. Then there is this camera movement. Little by little, we see the Twin Towers appear, and that's when it hit me, when the date on the board was brought back to my mind and suddenly, I couldn't stop crying. I had only just understood and it was terrible to admit what was going to happen. To then see one by one the reactions of the characters, it was so poignant. To project the fact that this happened to thousands of people, it was heartbreaking. I was almost sick after watching it and thought about it for days afterwards.
    That's why this movie is worth watching, this ending is innovative. It does justice to the lives of thousands of people who were overwhelmed by more or less complicated daily lives like Tyler and for whom everything collapsed suddenly one morning, despite the hope.
    Just watching this excerpt gave me chills and a heavy heart.

    I remember so many of these movies and was shocked at so many of the twists but some I saw coming because I read the books. For Breaking Dawn, I remember the fighting scene and thought it was real and was a little mad when I watched the movie and watched the fight scene but was relieved when it was just a vision. But I still love the scene even though it's not in the books. As for The Mortal Instruments, Jace and Clary aren't really siblings. Valentine wanted to hurt the both of them. If I remember right, Valentine also isn't his real father. It's another man who I can't remember at the moment. Valentine does have a son though. His real son is Sebastian, not Jace. He just tricked them into thinking they were related.

      @@reggier567 Basically, the last two survivors, Sam and Molly (a couple) believe that they managed to cheat death because of some rule that if you take someone else's life when it's your turn to die, then you're no longer on death's list. Both managed to do so, but accidentally. At the end of the movie, the two decide to travel to Paris together, as Sam was offered a job in Paris. On the plane, we see a close-up shot of Sam's flight ticket which reveals that he and Molly boarded the exact same flight to Paris from the first movie (Flight 180) where the plane exploded and killed every passenger except a teacher and a few high school seniors (the main characters from the first movie). After we see Sam's plane ticket we then hear an argument between two of the passengers (Alex and Carter) where Alex can be heard yelling "Get off the plane!" It's the same exact moment when Alex has his premonition of the plane exploding in the first movie. The last movie therefore ends with the plane exploding after Alex, Carter, and the rest of the survivors from the first movie got off the plane. Sam and Molly, still on board, were killed. The franchise basically ended by making everything come full circle. Sam and Molly thought they managed to escape death, but instead they were shifted onto a different death list by being a part of Alex's premonition. So the overarching message of the whole franchise is that you can't change the future or your fate. When your time is up, it's up, and there's nothing you can do about it.

    OK, I am sure this has already been said, but when Alice, from the Twilight Saga, had her "Vision" of the final battle, that never happened in the books. If you read book 2, New Moon, Alice says she cannot see the werewolves because she is not one. She also says something similar in the book Breaking Dawn about Renesmee and about how she can get a clear picture of Bella because she is intertwined with the baby that Bella keeps fading in and out of her visions. And if I am not mistaken Alice even says she can't see the wolves in the second movie when she goes to get Bella. So, the movies contradict themselves and the books do it also.

    Omg, that twilight scene killed me. I was fourteen and my mom had taken me to see it in the theatre. I've always been a very emotional person and I get attached to characters like they're a part of my family. So that scene was super traumatic for me. I was screaming and crying in the theatre as I watched characters I loved die. My mom kept telling me it was okay because she had already seen the movie but she didn't want to spoil the big twist for anyone else so she was trying to tell me discreetly that everything was fine. I'm surprised I didn't get kicked out of the theatre for my meltdown but I am sure lots of people complained. Especially since I wasn't a little kid. To this day, breaking dawn part 2 is my favourite of the Twilight series because it has Renesme but I always skip Alice's vision fight scene. I'm 24 now and know it was just a vision but I still can't watch it.

    The mortal instruments movie and book series are amazing. You just fall into them and you can't stop until you're finished with them. The sibling plot twist; was in my opinion, much better illustrated in the movie though. In the book it was kind of like they're dating and then BAHM! Jace is like "You're my sister now". You don't see how he came to believe that, we're just told that Valentine told him and then they follow the siblings in love thing with no sign that they aren't until the third book. You don't see why Valentine decided to lie to him about that, or how Jace believed him so quickly. In the movie we learn Hodge suggested it, how Valentine convinced Jace and more of how horrible Valentine is. In the movie you can tell that they aren't siblings, or it's easier than in the books, all the books say is how Jace doesn't look like Clary, Jocelyn, or Valentine. It made it seem less weird, wrong and a little less sudden.

What person would power through a romance if you were brother and sister was the villian’s thought process. He wanted them to be so disgusted they would stay apart. Gut intuition is what kept pulling them together. One more time for the back of the room they were never brother and sister.
