    Thanks for the awesome reaction, it’s rare to see Farnsey play a musical instrument. He’s such a gentlemen and gives his band and back up vocalists the credit they deserve. You should actually check out the version where John sings this song with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, it’s on another level and if your gonna do you’re the voice also with the Melbourne symphony orchestra. Also check out John and jimmy doing a duet together “when something is wrong with my baby”

    This was great. Love seeing him play the piano which is a very rare occurrance and probably took his concentration away from his vocal performance a bit. ..watch him perform this same song with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and be prepared for a whole other level.
    His career goes right back to the 60's so a bit of a different journey to Jimmy Barnes ...he did a lot of Pop and Pop Rock and Musical stuff back then. Then he was lead singer of the Little River Band for a few years. But the man can literally sing anything from killer Rock songs to the sweetest ballads. R&B Soul, Jazz, Pop, musical theatre, opera, country, comedy ...to full on Anthems.
    Some great ones ...See the Banners Fall, All our Sons and Daughters, Pressure Down, Burn For You, Chain Reaction, plus covers of Led Zeplins Black Dog and ACDC Long Way to the Top,When Somthing is Wrong with my Baby (with Jimmy Barnes)
    Just the tip of the iceberg.

    • @MusicGodReacts
      @MusicGodReacts  2 года назад +3

      Yeah, just meant that it sounds like he might have had that rock era during the 80's early 90's like Jimmy did. Looking forward to hearing more early stuff and the recent stuff as well.

    I forgot to mention some things. He was the King of Pop, Jimmy was once the King of Rock in Australia. They and ONJ all came to Australia from England as children. Liv was born first in 1948, John in 1949 and Jimmy in the 50's. Jimmy ended up in Adelaide, my home city, and the other two in Melbourne. Liv and John both worked their career starts from Melbourne's TV studios in the 60's. Surprisingly the one that John was best known for was SADIE THE CLEANING LADY (1967) and it is on youtube: ruclips.net/video/eZeRmpvCjEw/видео.html He was 18 at the time and his first TV appearance. John could have gone onto international stardom but decided to remain in Australia working here. Liv of course went to England and was coerced to move to America and she started with a country and music reputation in Nashville I think. They have remained buddies all along and sadly John has just gone through throat surgery (12 hrs) for cancer and had some of his jaw taken so doubt he will perform ever again. That happened just after his good friend Liv died.

    John and Jimmy sing together. Try When Something Is Wrong With My Baby. I have seen them sing that on two different RUclips video’s with Johnny Diesel who plays guitar and sings at the end with them. Now you just have over 5 decades of John to catch up on. He is our Legend and he is loved. He has one of the worlds best voices that only we knew about. If you are playing John you get a lot of new Aussie subscribers, we come with him. The Beatles may own Help but John taught them how to sing it. You need to watch the best version though with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. John is called the Voice but he also sings You’re The Voice at the same concert. Thank you.
