    How does this product withstand potential scratches from windshield wiper and windshield cleaning?

    Excellent job! Is it possible to do this on a Motorcycle Windshield? I have a new clear windshield that's very easily scratched. I'm hoping there's a heat shrink film that can work for my application. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

    Pro tip use a vertical glass peel board to peel that liner. If the film is flat it will always have stuff fall in it.
    Also how many months does it last? And how good is the protection?

    How long dose it last after installing?
    I drive a lot on the highway in all weather conditions and have a sandblasting look to my windshield. Thinking of getting this done when I get the new windshield installed. But don’t have any info on how long it lasts in real world conditions.

    Perfect video to show why these films are a non-starter for most daily drivers. Way too much labor and the film itself is too expensive to make it practical for daily drivers that will wear this film out in 1-2 years of driving, parking in the sun, and using wipers. You could get a new windshield every 2-3 years instead and come out ahead financially. Great for weekend cars and exotic with $10K windshields though.

    • @junior17medval
      @junior17medval Год назад

      Why is it so expensive? Shouldn’t it be cheaper since the installation is outside?

    • @lamda45
      @lamda45 Год назад

      @@junior17medval Because it's much more difficult to apply this type of film than window tint or clear bra. Window tint is super thin so it wouldn't do anything to protect the windshield if installed on the outside. Clear bra is very thick and flexible, but would make way too much distortion. These windshield films are thick and firm and therefore are much more difficult to install and also it's too expensive for but the film. It only makes sense on exotics since it won't last long on street cars and costs more than windshield replacements over time.

    • @junior17medval
      @junior17medval Год назад

      @@lamda45 I understand it’s much thicker but like I said it shouldn’t be harder to install since the 99% of windshields out there are just one flat piece of glass with some slight curvature. I’d argue installing clear bra is a lot harder because of the body lines on vehicles. Any professional window tinter or even vynil wrapper should not have any trouble installing this. On top of that it doesn’t last long, 1-2 years at the most. Maybe you’re right it could be for exotics but for the average joe it’s a no.

    • @lamda45
      @lamda45 Год назад

      @@junior17medval Windshield are never ever flat, and clear bra stretches a lot more than this film. Once you try to install it, and give up, you will really understand. Most of the tinters and clear bra people won't touch this stuff. If they do try it, they quickly give up on it and stop offering it. It's just the way it is. Please try it yourself and report back.

    • @junior17medval
      @junior17medval Год назад

      @@lamda45 you know what i mean obviously windshields are not 100% flat that’s why I said they are curved. It’s not like they have edges or body lines like a fender which is what I was comparing it to. Just like any product in the auto industry with time, products will get better and easier to work with.
