I'm 50. Periods every month like clockwork. Day after my period I get low mood. Is that normal?

Low mood during your period is common. When your bleed starts oestrogen drops and oestrogen is a mood boosting hormone so it is normal to feel a bit lower at this time of the month and your mood should start to improve in a few days as oestrogen rises again in your follicular phase up until ovulation.

Drink more water, how in the world is that going to help with hormonal chaos?

when you are dehydrated your liver can't produce or detox your hormones properly. Making sure you are fully hydrated and drinking enough water is really important for your hormonal health and your overall health. Give it a try and see how much better you feel :)
