Zaatar is a culinary Middle Eastern (Lebanese) herb with strong nice smell! As a family of related Middle Eastern herbs, it contains plants from oregano, thyme. Zaatar is widely used in Lebanese cuisine! It grows in the wild. Lebanese collect zaatar and eat it fresh! Also they make it dry and use for the zaatar spice mixture that includes the herb along with toasted sesame seeds, dried sumac, salt. Zaatar spice is used to make manoushe (flatbread with different toppings) with zaatar.
Ingredients
Arabic flatbread (you can use any kind of your favorite bread)
Fresh zaatar herb
Cucumber (you can add also tomatoes, lettuce)
Several leaves of fresh mint
Salt to taste
1 tbsp of olive oil
Several drops of fresh lemon juice
A pinch of sumac

@@oliauspih3376 it is called oregano, however it looks very similar to zatar. I am not sure about its taste, but I think it will work in sandwiches as well.
