This song is by Dire Straits, written about the Falkland War in the early 1980s. It has a beautiful guitar solo. The Finnish a capella group Club For Five arranged it for a capella. They graciously allowed HF to use their arrangement, in which HF added only the echoes.
So hauntingly beautiful. One of my favorites of theirs. Loved Tim’s lows. Loved the echoes. Tim and Chance looked ghost like in the windows. Stunning. Good reaction Dani😪
very good reaction Dani. Did my time in the service but when you listen to this it will also cover our first responders and police. They are all "Brothers In Arms" again thank you for the heartfelt reaction.
This a GREAT SUNG FOR ALL MY BROTHERS/SISTERS-IN-ARMS THANK YOU Dani for doing this for ALL who has served and is serving GOD BLESS AMERICA GOD OUR TROOPS/VETS AND GOD BLESS YOU DANII AND YOUR FAMILY FROM A RETIIRED ARMY VETERAN
I agree with you, this is incredible. Home Free released a new album in Nov. 12 of the songs are originals written by Tim or Austin and othrrs. Check out some of their work, perhaps "Understand", "Whats Left of My Heart", "Save The World, or "So Long Dixie".
I'm a veteran, and I love this song for its profound meaning and message. The solemn delivery is very emotional and respectful to our service and sacrifice.
Ethereal. Haunting. Gut wrenching. Soul stirring. Angelic. The only thing missing was the seraphic choir backing them up. Excuse me while I track down my soul and stuff it back into my body...
I learned as an 18 year old in Vietnam that when the shit hit the fan we weren't fighting for God and country we were fighting for the men beside us, our brothers in arms.
So awesome honor of warriors, patriots by great talents! Tim sounded like he was singing from the grave, maybe his own? The shots of the graveyard showing desolation, neglect was overwhelming to me. Especially, "We're fools to make war on our brothers in arms" showing how we are brothers but ----
I always call this thier masterpiece....it's so good I don't know if they'll ever top this.....just so hauntingly beautiful...those harmonies (they are famous for) are just STUNNING. Thanks Dani !
This is a cover of a Dire Straights song written by Mark Knopfler after the Falklands war. Tim chose to sing his lead in a breathy bass which is very different than his normal bass voice but is perfect for a man who is dying on the field of battle.
This is actually a cover of an arrangement by the Finnish group Club for Five. Tim asked and received permission to use their arrangement, but they made it their own with some slight changes.
This should win all kinds of Awards
Great reaction to an impactful song sung by a phenomenal group. Thanks!!!
Totally mesmerizing, isn't it?

Great song to honor the Veterans at any time of the year.👍

Sure was looking forward to you reacting on this performance. Awesome presentation of this somber number. 💟 Thank you for reacting to this. ❣

Masterpiece from the boys!

Tim is from another dimension!!
desolation, yes. Neglect, no. The graves were neat, many had mementos on them. It was a nicely tended, if arid, cemetery.

Couldn't agree more!

@larrywright3132 ...yes the Finnish group asked Dire Straits could they sing their song Acapella and Mark Knopfler agreed
Hits so deep in my soul every single time😔🇺🇸🙏🏻
Please don't miss their "In the Blood".
Great choice, Dani. Love your reaction, keep um coming.
I dont know this version. It sounds very good Dani. You are working very much on this day. Greetings from vienna 🇦🇹
Thank you!
Great reaction!
This is maybe the best cover of this song I have heard. You should also try to listen to the original from Dire Straits.
Great reaction beautiful lady love your videos
Want thought provoking Home Free? Try "Everybody Walkin This Land", "Travelin Soldier" and "In the Blood".
I'm just wondering if they army veterans or ex military it also as folk music vibe
Home Free guys are very patriotic and support all service members.
They frequently do veteran events ....

This wasn't horrible. Joan Baez covered it much better. Now do yourself a favor and listen to Knopfler, with or without Dire Straits.
