I was reading in another comment about the Optrel Crystyle 2.0, that he battery dies off after bout 2 yrs of use & charging, & there was no way to replace the battery & after that the helmut was "permanently dead!" TRUE or NOT TRUE. . . .FALSE or NOT FALSE🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
I dont recomment this welding helmet as it is close to the eyes that scratches my eyeglasses. I wonder how you manage to use it without scratching your eyeglasses
Anyone know if a 3m half mask respirator with soft filters will fit under. Every once in a whole I need to wear one under the hood, but I can keep the Viking for that if not. What about beanies?
I had the same question! As there has been no reply, I am assuming he either doesn't use/own the 3M half-mask respirator. I will see if I can find an answer somewhere, maybe directly from the manufacturer...
@@77Avadon77 I haven't tried the crystal 2.0, but the only negative thing I've heard about it was the viewing area. From my understanding, this is the same tech as the 2.0, just with better field of view.
Looks unbearably hot with the headgear covering 90% more area than a traditional helmet and being so close to your face makes for worse air circulation. Also not really beanie friendly.
These things are absolute over engineered, overpriced garbage. Went through two in two years and Optrel won't give you your money back despite them failing after such a short amount of time. The headgear is useless and uncomfortable if you wear a cap or hood it just slides right off your head. Don't waste your money.
I've got one, had it for years and yep, it's freakin awesome! Once you go Optrel, you'll never be able to go back to lower quality helmets.
Definatley ordering one of these in the future, I am so done with speed glass.
I want to kno how is does with a respirator, I do a lot of stainless
Try the esab a60. Love your content. Lots of info without listening for 15 min
compared to an optrel clt nahh those esab suck.

nice helmet. do you know if this is the same color as the crystal 2.0? it is hard to tell on the video.
It's the same. This one just has a larger viewing area.

I assume you are aware of Tom Waters glasses?
$500.00 maybe it will come on sale for X Mas..........Looks Cool though!
Can you fit a respirator in there?
Same. Every once in a while I need to wear a respirator. Not super often, but a few times a month
@@nhwilkinosn yes I used a friends one time with a respirator and it fits perfectly

Yes it does!
Interesting might be the new thing
I Have the optrel crystal clear. I wonder how this competes with it? It be fun to put them side by side
Looks similar in color and functionality as the crystal clear, but I bet having the viewing area closer to your eyes is better

Optrel or speedglass?
Optrel. Both are top notch brands though.
