@@immersim311 it is still a work in progress , the main thing that i prefer in it is the added visual effects like AO ,SSR and Tessellation and improved performance mainly for prechaching it has some small visual issues but i still recommend it
Now the only thing we need is Deus Ex Reborn to get finished, port GMDX, HDTP, New Vision and this mod to that, add proper character animations and physics and... boy, that's going to be something. Not saying that Deus Ex isn't freaking incredible already, but I can only imagine all the possibilities that would give us. Great work btw! Thank you!

Since posting this, I've actually gotten into little modding myself, and have much more respect for people who actually dedicate their lives for stuff like this.
I have Revision + HTO 2.0 (DirectX11renderer) and I dont' understand why but almost everybody is wearing sunglasses... Anna is wearing sunglasses, Gunther, Paul too... Heck even the UNATCO troopers have some kind of black bar in front of their eyes as if some bug occured or idk... I don't get it, is it supposed to be like this ? No installer told me about it or asked me. It seems like no one except me has this issue, no one is talking about it. Sucks.
How do you know if you have DDS or GMDX? I have the Vanilla game on Steam on Windows, and chose the "3DS" option at the start. What file do I download in the ModDB link? And what do I copy the files into the "Textures" folder on Steam? There's currently .utx files in there.
Gmdx is another mod on moddb , if you wanna play the vanilla game with this mod get the DDS version and copy the contents of one of the three options vanilla default or augmented (the characters decorations and items ) into the textures folder of the main game , if you play revision or gmdx get the addons as well you also need to get the kentie DX 10 or DX 11 renderer
@@berzerker2053 This is what I did: -Downloaded Deus Ex on Steam, installed selecting "3DS" option -Downloaded "DDS New and Updated" mod from the link -Extracted the 7zip file. -Copied the texture files themselves from three folders (Character etc.) And pasted it in the main textures folder of the Steam Game Textures folder for Deus Ex. -Restarted the game, looking the same

its mainly characters items and decorations , the vanilla is only an upscale , the other two contain retextured parts like faces and parts of the outfits and come retextured decorations
Revision is a complete abomination tho! It takes the realistic dark style away and clutters all spaces with useless stuff, spoils story (as with Maggie in the intro) and changes and expands levels in totally unnecessary ways which don't increase fun except for one part in New York city which was really pretty with the bullet train.
Best looking texture mod for Deus ex I have ever seen. It's time to install Deus ex.
This was sorely needed. I don't mind DX looking dated but the model textures were really an eyesore!
thanks , i would highly recommend the dx11 renderer as well it adds tessellation to the models which will improve the look of the game more

This looks better and more true to the original than the hd textures that revision gives you

the characters look pretty good. The environments are just from Revision and are mostly unrelated.
