I just bought the PSA AK-102, I had them for email alert and never got a notification, I check daily and now they're secretly releasing it, so if anyone is interested in a 12.5" 5.56 AK now is your time.
I’m looking into getting my first AK sometime soon, the PSA GF5 is definitely near the top of my wishlist! J Mac Customs recently ran 4000 rounds through one on full auto with no problems! Great review, much love from Texas.
PSA builds quality reliable firearms at a fair reasonable price. Great review. I only have 5.56 rifles, but I've been toying the idea of getting me a 7.65 for a while, and a PSA is on my sights.
Got my first AK from PSA through gf5/dagger daily deal few months back. Really wish I'd gotten into aks back when 7.62 was dirt cheap but hey its still cheaper than 5.56
PSA gets a lot of hate from the die hard “import” guys but I have a G5 and I’ve seen no issues! It’s fantastic plus lifetime warranty! I’ll Support American made! Their G5 line is very nice and runs great! RUclips is touchy for gun reviews because there’s a lot of haters and bs on here. Of course PSA has had issues what company hasn’t?
Sweet Ak. Ive got a few 5.56s, and a bullpup in .300 blk. The only downside for me would b another caliber bullet to stock up on, but that 7.62 rd is really powerful.
GF3 with Polish wood and a UTG Side Rail, Romanian Bayonet $8 Cleaning Rod, $20 Muzzle Break. I'm $700 in because the wood set. No non magazine related issues, Front sight post was canted, zero was Max to the left, A 24-inch screw driver and a vice, I yeeted it a 1/8 inch and now in Centered at Zero. Works great, about 2000 rounds so far. Had a $9 magazine that double fed, but all my other mags run fine so it was the cheap mag. Polish wood needed some fitting but is tight and looks great now. Fit n Finish far better than my WASR Reliability has been perfect so far. The Canted sights were disappointing but was a 2 min fix. You can remove the pins, set the sights and drill and put new pins, but you can just yeet em over using leverage too, Did it on my WASR 15 years and well over 10k rounds and they stayed put.
If you get a chance check out the Attero Arms bravo optic mount. It replaces the factory rear sight . For and optic mount. I have 2 of them and love them… beware of running an optic on the gas tube I’ve seen optics get fried and glue separation from heat😮. God bless man . I love your videos 🤙🏽💯
Nice video and review of an American made A.K. 47! I'm so accustomed to my A.R.'s but after this review, I just might have to look into another home defense / range / hunting rifle! Trying to boost your algorithms also by leaving a comment, like, and share! Take care Sir!
I picked up a Gf5 ak-e. I have been an AR guy since 2004, but this ak is making my AR collection collect dust lol. It's fun, accurate and a fun challenge when double tapping or target transition after being accustomed to the AR platform. The gf5 is very well built!!
Why doesn't anybody ever talk about the gf4? Did I make a mistake by ordering that instead of the gf5? I did read that Colton Sons from PSA worked with FN on the development of the AK barrel. After that was completed, he worked with DC Machine (PSA's sister company that manufactures their nitride barrels) to develop the CHF CL barrel for the GF4. Surprisingly, I've also heard that the PSA CHF CL Barrel in the gf4 is just as good if not better than the FN barrel.
All the purists hate on PSA Ak's but they're good specially the gf5 ones not to mention that KUSA QC has gone down hill and their customer service is bad, at least PSA has great customer service and warranty.
@@HuntFishShootChannel Yea Jmac tried to burn down a gf5 and that think took 1908 rounds of continuous full auto fire no problems, they basically ran out of loaded mags and it could have continued going.

Not misinformed…. My preference for purchase is a US made variant. No doubt it’s apples to apples out there on some global brands. And just like ARs there’s good and bad build qualities. When I go to buy an AK, I want my money spent here.
@@scottyk5376 You cannot compare American ak47s to European AK-47s. A lot of US companies still need to work on their design. Triggers are set too high etc. The gf5 might be the best breakthrough but time will tell. Europeans just know how to make a proper AK. America' knows how to make a proper AR-15. But yes it's your money you do what you want with it. I would definitely buy a PSA GF 5 over a century Arms American made AK.
@@HuntFishShootChannel thanks for responding. Seems like the only difference i can tell is the barrel design. On the GF5-E, the FN barrel/muzzle is different. Its $90 more than the MOEkov GF5. Thanks for video- the GF5 looks better to me.
If you were going to pick one AK to replace your AR rifles it would be... a PSA??? Not trying to shit on PSA but with Russian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Polish and literally all the other manufacturers who have been building these rifles for 60+ years THIS is the one you'd go with??
This psa ak47 gf5 is the real deal. Look at jmac customs video of trying to melt one down. They ran out of ammo before they could make it fail. They put 2000 rounds through while stopping to check the head space and lugs on bolt every 500 rounds or so. Then fired 2000 plus rounds through it continuously with no failures. And all the shooting was full auto. No semi at all. The gun had a golden finish to it from getting so hot. Plus many of us, including myself, don’t like the idea of buying guns that were made by communists. I actually don’t buy any guns not made in America. The way I see it is if your people aren’t free and can’t even own the guns that they build, I don’t want it. Plenty of good USA guns to buy even though I can definitely appreciate the fact that a lot of foreign countries can make some very fine fire arms. Just my 2 cents.
If you have to have a US Made AK imo KUSA offers a much better rifle. I had bad luck with PSA AKs two times. You should check them out. Also look into WBP AKs for the european AKs. Best stamped AKs you can buy. They're Polish. Great fit and finish and they aren't as expensive as an Arsenal.
@@mrdato116 it’s billet. Everything else is forged. They also don’t have the plethora of QC issues that PSA has. KUSA is considered good to go by people that actually shoot AKs, PSA is not
I bought a century arms wasr added the magpul zukahv s stock, moe foreend and grip, alg akt trigger, main spring and recoil spring, TWS HOB knob and krebs custom saftey, so far ive got about 1100 into it including the cost of the ak and it shoots flater than my ar.
I’ve had that model for approaching a year. The “JL Billet” hand guard is lacking. The railed upper became loose in short order, and for use in mounting an Optic, is basically worthless since it won’t hold Zero.
