16:34 I looked it up, average size of a grain of fine sand is about 0.25mm, and a cupped hand has about 1/2 cup of volume, so two hands would be about 1 cup of volume. A US cup is 236,588 cubic mm. Divide that by our grain of sand which is 0.25mm which gives you 946,352 grains. It was a pretty heaping handful though so maybe an extra 15% on top. That comes out to 1,088,305 grains of sand. So Garret was a little over on his guess of 3mil lol.
4:17 these two are starting to become like golf course brothers. They get along so well!!! I could watch these two play golf together ALL DAY!!! really excited for the Olympic club match!
I think the fact I love about Brad the most is he knows that he's an unbelievably skilled great player but he doesn't showboat about it... just a calm and collected BEAST love ya Dalke
I hear ya, while I haven’t been waiting all day because we knew the upload time, I have been highly anticipating the upload since I finished Tuesdays video
What feeling… to hear a celebrity/huge influencer just reminisce on life and the game he loves. Dudes a fuckin OG. Like the kid was playing scrappy golf courses in Kansas and Texas 3 years ago. The amount of humility and classiness brings G-Ratt on a different level. Absolutely love every bit of content.
Lets assume a handful is 100mL. (Probably a large hand if you ask me but it simplifies things). Theres our first conversion factor. Now we want to know how many sand grains are going to be in that 100mL, so we determine that one sand grain is about .00005 cm^3, or mL. So 1 sand grain is .00005 mL, our second conversion factor. Multiply out! You get about 2 Million, which as far as I’m concerned sound pretty accurate. In this case you had a bit more than just a single handful, so I’d say there’s between 3-4 million grains of sand🤙🏼
Great Job on this one really showing how tough a day can be but both handled it with ease and the camaraderie is ridiculous! Truly a great series so far. Thank you for the entertaining round.
One of the realest parts of this video is G on the top of the dunes just taking it all in with the water. Hella important to slow it down and appreciate it when things are not sunshine and unicorn farts. 🤘🤘
Amazing production with this series. Well done Good Good producers. I've been watching since the beginning and the production and vibes just get better and better
It’s clear that Doc had been taking a lot of golf lessons. You should collaborate G! But honestly, I think myself, and a lot of others would appreciate you doing a series of you just improving your game for month-months. The journey. You play a ton of beautiful courses and we all know that. We want to see your game to the next level!
GOOD WORK BOYS! loving this new series yall are doing.. I feel like this is- mission; get Garrett PGA ready lol. most consistent ive seen him play in a while. keep it up!
You guys should make a series to play South African courses. The nature and wildlife is insane. Could lead to some great content and you will definitely enjoy it.
11:54 Garrett, as someone from the midwest (missouri), i feel the same way every time i see the ocean. I ask myself all the time why i dont just live there.
Garrett. Take some very long, deep breaths, and slow it wayyyy down when things start going sideways. You start getting way too quick when you’re upset. It’s obvious. You have a monumental amount of talent. Just refuse to get rattled.
A lot. It would depend on the particle size, the particle shape, and the compaction (which is facilitated by having the sand saturated with water). Let us do a thought experiment. Lake Michigan sand is typically 0.30mm dia, with most below 0.45mm. But to make it easy, let us assume that the particles sit on a 0.5mm regular grid. A litre is a 100mm cube. That would mean 200 x 200 x 200 grains in a litre. That is 8 million. A cup is typically thought of as being 250mL. So, that cup would have at least 2 million grains. On the basis of that calculation, a cubic metre of sand would have no less than 8 thousand million particles. Does that number sound familiar? 8 thousand million is roughly the number of people alive on this Earth right now. Puts a whole new meaning in the promise to forefather Abraham that his offspring would be "like the sands on the seashore".
Crazy watching your videos my wife saw brads name pop up and said she knew him they use to golf when they were kids brads mom use to teach my wife how to golf.
I hear ya Garrett… staring at the ocean has long been said to have mental health benefits while changing the frequencies in your brain to put you in a meditative state. It’s just one of the many reasons I love fishing. When I’m on the water alone, even if the bite is slow, I can sit there and gaze off and stare and listen to nature
gm golf X sketch soon
Thank you brother
