Love this. Had a guy accuse me of only winning because of my cards back in the day, so we switched decks to find out if it was true. The look on his face when I beat him even faster with his cards was priceless.

Funny story
There was a point in time when I bought card packs from Dollarama (like, their own specialized card packs.... so basically the shitty reject cards. I was able to build an okay-ish Superheavy Samurai deck with them, 'though)
So one day, I decided to buy 10
... 9 of them had Swordsman of Landstars
Each pack had 9 cards, so I essentially got a pack with nothing but Swordsman of Landstars
I rearranged my binder specifically to dedicate a page to them

Guess my brain wasn’t as enormous as I thought, everyone is talking bout I couldn’t negate the blast sphere. I may as well be slain by the yugioh gods for such a tragedy.

It was still a fun idea (and I think sumatto did illegal moves too plus technically a play is only illegal if both parties agree to it and you guys draw first turn so it's not like you guys are playing by tcg rules

i mean, sumatto summoned the Embodiment of Apophis during your battle phase, which also aint allowed, and also a secon seal of oricalchos, which also aint allowed. so yea i'd say you're even.
If you guys ever need help with learning how to better play there are plenty of places to get that help. Just let them know you are playing ygovr

Solemn Warning wouldn't negate Blast Sphere during Triggers Standby Phase. It can only respond to the activation in this case, which happened the turn before. Blast Sphere doesn't activate again, it just finishes its effect. Trigger lost.

It can't even activate in response to the activation, it doesn't negate monster effects.
Also Tyrant dragon never destroyed Blast Sphere, the effect activates before damage calc, so it cant attack twice.
@@Alb410 Also wouldn't it be equipped on the owner's side of the field? Not that it mattered in this moment, but as far as I know they did not have to switch sides of the field for it.

Yeah was about to look of someone noticed. But that is some DM bullshit that would happen
12:24 solemn can't be activated, it only negates the activation of spell/trap cards (not effects) and monster summons, since the equiping is part of monster effect it doesn't count as a spell activation and the "detonation" isn't considered a spell card activation since the card is already on the field

actually sumatto won the 2nd game. Solemn judgment negates the activation of a card not its effect ( which is different ) a card that already was activated but is triggering its effect after the activation can't be negated by solemn judgment. So he inflicts 2900 and thats game

Also Solemn Judgement doesn't negate Blast Sphere. Yes, Blast Sphere is considered a Spell Card, but the "Spell Card" is not activating, it's the "Spell Effect". There is a difference between these two, that's why there are cards that say "Card or Effect", because some only do things to one or the other. Solemn Judgement is a bit of an older card, but it has had an erratum sometime in the past few years, which is well after the confusion surrounding this ruling had been resolved
Steamroid gains attk when it attacks
It gains 500, raising it from 1800 to 2300. However, Sumatto rolled a 5 on Graceful Dice, raising his monster's attack from 2200 to 2700. That's why Steamroid lost that battle.
