Thomas lang is one of the most talented and versatile drummers in the biz but he come out so humble and willing to explain and teach his techniques to anyone and everyone 😎👍👏♥️🔥 problem is, after he explain it and you underatand...you need the next 20 years to practice 😆🤣 my reaction is like yours josh, the man is a machine putting out a factory of beats(it's like 3 and 4 at a time 🤯)and when he explains it he says I just wanted to be able to play with my feet what I could with my hands...so I did it and it opens up soo many possibilities 🙂👌👏 this man is straight 🔥
@@estelombo this solo is not in a gospel frame, so it can't be compared to. But it's real that gospel drummers have brought musicality in the way of playing drum solos. Don't need to compare because everyone influences each other
@@estelombo To me Lang can sound sort of mechanical. Some times he lacks tastfulness. Lang is a beast all day but in this solo he sounds like hes been practicing to be more tasteful.
Its probably me but his soloing style is so boring to listen. No dynamics, same patterns, without any pause. Admiring his technique and independence anyways.
