Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I'm your host Paul and this episode we're breaking down one of the most interesting aspects of The Boys.
That is Stormfront.
Throughout this video we're gonna be breaking down everything you need to know about her including her true identity, comic book origins, powers and more.
Obviously there will be Heavy Spoilers here so if you haven't had a chance to check out the sixth episode of the second season then I highly recommend that you turn off now. With that out the way, thank you for clicking this, now let's get into our breakdown of Stormfront.
Now as for her powers, she actually possesses quite a lot. As I'm sure you know, Vought make all their supes in a lab but they give them comic book esque backstories to make it seem like they're heroes. Stormfront is actually supposed to be a Nordic God which not only ties back to the Aryan Race but is also meant to be a riff on Thor from The Avengers.
Stormfront is able to manipulate plasma and she can charge molecules with electricity in order to fire out electrical blasts. These powerful attacks make her almost unstoppable and not only do they blast those hit with them backwards, they also incapacitate the person for a while.
Stormfront can also fly and with this she's able to move through the air at Mach three speeds.
In addition to this she's super durable and is capable of withstanding all types of damage. The character also possesses a healing factor that means she can recover from any wound quite quickly
To top it of she has incredible superhuman strenght that means she's able to move through objects with ease.
In episode 3 of Season 2 she completely devastated an apartment complex in minutes, blasting through walls and kill most of the people that she came across without prejudice.

So many people missed the part that she was Voughts wife and thus is the Owner of Vought and who is pulling the strings including Giancarlo’s character..
I'm pretty sure Edgar is not on her side and just using her for his own game whatever that is and planning a hostile takeover of the company in time
@@chatleslorenzo6164 Yes. Edgar is a opportunist and a machiavellist AND a "person of color" (what ever that really means). Stormfront on the other hand is still a full idealistic Nazi. Edgar tolerates her as long as he's is in control, but I'm sure he has a plan to take her out (and Homelander) if she (or someone else) tries to take over his power.
If vought’s entire mission is predicated on a lie, what’s to say that stormfront’s true identity and purpose isn’t also?
There are so many unanswered questions about her. Is Adele actually her daughter? Is she really dead? Did stormfront have other children? Is she a grandmother? Why was she recruited by Sam Edgar?
Something that keeps being forgotten. In the first episode the deputy CIA director mentioned an internal war at Vought right before her head exploded.
And her daughter not being a supe, but Homelander's son being one seems very suspicious to me. In each case one parent was supe and one wasn't. Why did she have a normal daughter, but Homelander's kids has similar powers to him? There's a reason they showed her daughter and how she is dead and seemed "normal" dying from a degenerative disease you wouldn't think would affect a supe. At least not at the same pace as the average person.
Since Starlight siphons electricity for her powers, couldn't she siphon off Stormfront's powers and basically become more powerful?
or at the very least de-power stormfronts power... I think thats what theyre getting at with that "Hugie wounded" scene. It was to hammer home how her powers work
@@Artbug yea that was my thoughts too, showing that she needs a source of electricity for her powers to work, and lightning does contain quite a bit of electrical energy.
But without electrokinese she still has super strength is invulnerable and she can fly
I think they sort of showed how her powers worked last season when she's fighting A-Train when all the lights started going off.

She's dark and she knows it. The actress gives all her performance in bringing Stormfront to life.

When Stormfront opens the box and takes out the photos of herself with Vought, Himmler etc, you can see a Hitler Youth dagger. This is a nice nod to the comic book version of Stormfront, who was a member of the Hitlerjugend.

Stormfront is ruthless and will not let anything stop her. Becoming pregnant, possible but I think she is just feeding Homelander with fake love along with other things as she realizes that he is the biggest threat. I think Cindy and Torchlight are being setup for the spinoff.

I’m a bit upset because with “Love Sausage” obviously used up in this episode, we won’t get to see all of the Allies characters stomping down a Nazi as that was the way Stormfront’s defeat was supposed to be reflected in the comic and it was awesome.

Like remember when Stormfront first appeared in the first two episodes, we're like "she's all about equality, yeah" and then she revealed her true self. I think these guys are not like homelander. They know what the society is like and they try to go along with it while underneath their façade, they have a hidden agenda.

So, in the series, she owns the Caught.
The way (s)he died in the comics, he's from Germany and was defeated by a British, a French and an American.

I think so. They seem to be teasing stabilized compound V as Lamplighter explained. A compound V that can give an adult individual solid powers everytime. I guess they will be injecting themselves with V when they have no choice. We'll see brother, we'll see..

but that's gonna ruin the route the show is taking, imo. this whole time they have taken down supes using their intelligence and wits. it'll be disappointing if they resort to using the thing they're trying to get rid of. also they'd be hypocrites if they obtain enhanced powers when their whole mission is to take down power-hungry super humans.

Why did stormfront never try to give her daughter compound V? She is clearly cares for her so why didn't she try and give her immortality? I think there more to the character, do you think she gave her Alzheimer's because of the compound V.
I am desperate to see what is going to happen, stormfront feels like she could go either way with being the villain.

because not everyone can handle compound V, there's a chance her daughter could die from it, get freakish powers. She probably didn't want her daughter to have an odd life. It probably isnt her daughter, who knows!
But why not give her daughter compound V as a baby? I want to know that. Maybe they didn't know it would work on babies yet, only adults and adults were tricky. Idk.

Under the Nazis the daughter would have been killed so why would she be stand next to her all happy? I can't wait to find out
Three predictions.
1. Kimiko or the female of the species is going to rip out Stormfronts eye. Therefore Stormfront is going to either kill her or put her in a coma.
2. Stormfront and HomeLander are going to at least attempt to take Homelanders son away from his mom
3. Stormfront will attack Starlight with her electricity lightning bolts and starlight will be powered up by this at some point in the show.
Has no one thought that the accident with Hughie in episode 6 is the catalyst to him getting powers

I don't get why everyone is saying the that you age normally if given it as a baby but don't age if you get it as an adult, there is a huge difference between maturing and getting old, maturing from a child to an adult is not the same as getting old, getting old is what happens when your cells have divided many times over your lifetime and the genetic code has become corrupted all it means is that supes dna doesn't get corrupted as they get older, maturing involves hormone release and all sorts of other things, considering aging as a homogeneous thing is ridiculous
She keeps talking about needing Starlight. She didn't let Homelander kill Starlight after announcing she was a mole...which makes me think she wants Starlight (ideal Aryan woman) to carry the kid.
Another thing. It seemed like Homelander was implying that maybe he had figured out Stormfront's weakness. But then she told him her backstory and he hasn't mentioned it since.

I still think Stormfront is Homelander's mother. She was the first to get compound V and biologically never had menopause. Therefore, at 100 years old, she can still have babies. I don't think she stopped having children after her daughter died.
Stormfront had electrical powers, Starlight absorbs electricity........hint hint her demise
I think there's a big clue in Stormfront showing Homelander his daughter. In that scene after saying she died of Alzheimers, she tells her story. She says Vought gave her the first successful V injection, THEN they fell in love and had a daughter. Meaning she had a daughter that it seems didn't have powers and died of a degenerative brain disorder. Things that one would think isn't going to happen to Homelander's son. But then that begs the question, why does his son have powers but Stormfront's daughter didn't? Is it something to do with male or female (in terms of both the offspring or the parent)? Is it because the kid isn't his and was just made in a lab to placate him? Is the kid his son, but didn't have powers so they gave him V after he was born? Then that also leads to, what happens if Stormfront and Homelander have a kid? I think there's something to it. There's a million ways she could have just said or shown him that she's over 100. I think showing her daughter was "normal" despite her having powers while pregnant has significance.
I like what you been doing with these highlight of the characters with their backstory, researched well for those who never read the comics, being a fellow Brit i appreciate the British humour within the videos not many understand it 😂
Since starlights's powers are absorbing energy, maybe she somehow takes away stormfronts powers since they have to do with electricity and thus energy
Also you mentioned Thor which she is a form of satire on Thor but Thor's hammer Mjolnir the symbol is actually used as a symbol by White supremacist. They wear the Symbol and jewelry or have tattoos of it on their body. So Strom Front is an embodiment of that.

Stormfront having a child with Homelander would not be possible as she would have run out of eggs by the 1960's. However I am sure the show writers could come up with some plot device to explain away that reality.
Aging: I'm presuming folk age to maturity and then hold indefinitely (at least those with the invulnerability options). Hard to say though as actors have to portray these characters.
another spoiler... I think they change stormfront sex to female to throw us off the comic, but i think they will follow it closely... like Black Noir is becca's son father, not Homelander.. The hint is when Homelander tried to teach ryan how to fly and failed. Black Noir cant fly.. Also Ryan was able to push Homelander down, proving that he is strong.. Maybe stronger than Homelander.
Ryan had heat vision but black noir doesnt and the reason Ryan was able to push because Homelander because yes he does have super strength however Homelander was caught off guard he still weighs the same a a normal human.

Also I don’t the supes are able to turn their power on and off, so getting caught off guard is weird. They would have been dead, especially homelander since he doesn’t care for much. Like when starlight getting shot by billy, it was off guard too and she was fine. Also that girl in this episode got shot in the back multiple times and she was okay.
I wouldn't waste too much time trying to work out the science of V. I think they change the logic to what ever is convenient to the story.

@@Artbug 😅 Yeah that's one big hole in my theory here. But she still fits the bill of what Stormfront would consider pure, given her own personal heritage. And I think that line Stormfront said to Starlight in her trailer is going to pay off at some point, so I've been trying to speculate how.

I think Maeve and the boys kill Stormfront. In the season 2 trailer they show a clip of Stormfront using her lighting to flip a car and the boys are shown in the background. They cut back to that same location in the trailer and it's Maeve punching her in the face.

I would like to see Stormfront has a child with Homelander. Now that she has no arms and legs, she might even be used as a breeding machine for supes… not that far fetch if we consider MM’s mom in the comic.

In a fight who would win out of Brave Maeve and Stormfront?
Stormfront would defeat Maeve easy. I believe Maeve has super strength and knows martial arts, but she’s not indestructible. I remember in season one she was telling Starlight about stopping a train or something that broke one of her forearms.
Yeah stormfront would destroy her, Maeve is pretty weak compared to the rest of the supes, even in the comics she gets taken out pretty easily

I’ve been thinking it over and one way that’s sorta made sense in my head is what if one of or all of the Boys take the stabilized compound V and it gives them Leech’s powers like in X-men, to de-power people that they get close enough to. Suddenly, they have an equalizer ability. That’d make some sense. 🤷🏽♂️

A few points. 1) Starlight should be able to absorb Stormfront’s electrical attacks. 2) I think Edgar is setting her up as a villain knowing she is behind the “coup from inside” as Raynor described. 3) Vought is trying to get everyone dependent on Compound V, Stormfront has her own “opinion” on who should receive it

My guess would be that Stormfronts powers supercharge Starlight allowing her to open a can of whoopass. Just seems like they’ve made more effort describing starlights powers than anyone else’s.
I agree that she is probably trying to get impregnated by homelander as a form of protection but I think a misstep they are seeding into the show is that Becca is also alive because she doesn't screw with homelander's head. She is pretty upfront about her distain for him so he can play into the simple dynamic and just assert his dominance, Stormfront on the other hand has toyed with him quite a bit with the humiliating him, "taking over the seven" then helping him, the sex and such that it definitely keeps him from being the dominant force in the relationship so I feel like when given a chance to publicly execute her, he definitely will. I mean reveal those pictures of her with some of the worlds worst war criminals will give a justify outcry for her death.
