You don’t have to go through agents and if you guys don’t mind sharing a place with someone for a little, there might be some more room to negotiate length of stay. Less pressure on you in the immediate term and you can do a shorter arrangement in another house via Flatmates until you find a place for both of you? Food for thought and I hope you get a stroke of luck soon, the housing market is challenging out there 😕💛

yeah 6 months notice is not a thing here. I had to negotiate 30 days notice when I asked for 60 😢 and yeah it is, we were so taken back by it because it makes no sense
