I'm so happy I bought and played this game. It was incredibly uplifting and fun. I laughed and cried and got my butt beat by tough bosses, and finishing the game was both satisfying and sad. I didn't want it to end and that feeling makes this game special to me. This song really embodies that feeling. :)
@@hololm If it makes you feel any better, I basically never buy games for $60. I bought this one at 40% off ($36) on Steam, and it does go on sale on occasion. If you play games on PC, it's not a bad choice.
I just played this a few days ago.. I'm not into the alchemy-mixing stuff but still will try this one out I was never a fan of the atelier series but this one might pull off, hopefully.
The main thing about these kinds of games is to remember that they're about the story, and the relationships of the characters in it. The combat, crafting, etc... that's all just something for you to do as you unlock the story elements. If you're someone who clicks past dialog and just wants to level up, this game won't be for you. This is the first Atelier game I've played, and I find it to be quite fun. Unlike most games I play, it's actually cheerful and presents puzzles and challenges as important, but not dire end-of-the-world level things that try to guilt you into caring. I'm also only in the early part of the game, so 30 hours from now I may get bored... but the pace it unfolds at convinces me it has a solid 30+ hours of entertainment, which make it worth the price in my book.
Atelier series are grinding series anyway. If you search for the gameplay then you surely regret it. Atelier are about Story,Arts,Ost or BGM,World Building, etc anyway so there is that. But i respect your opinion. Have a good day.
Atelier Series has always been 99% about the crafting system. If you don't like creating your own equipment, items with possible the largest array of choices in any RPG, then you won't like these games. Honestly, with the way it allows you to combine traits, determine which upgrade route and special effects for every item you craft, there's just no comparison to any other inferior crafting systems out there.

This song is so good, I beat the game, had to come back and listen to this. Koei Tecmo makes such good OST.

I tried these games and they suck, all of them. Just not my style, sorry.
But their OST is ALWAYS #1
Exactly this, i have tried so hard to get into them, but they are just simply not to my taste.
