To be fair, John's "mobile home financing" episode was brilliant.
One of my favorite deep dives. I also enjoyed the one he did on psychics.

Check out this song cover!☺️☺️
Love his episode on that topic
Lock down 23 and 1 fans are hating on my videos 😡💪💯
Was about to say the same thing. It was great! The mobile home piece is worth a watch
Why does young John Oliver look like all the beatles combined?
Mac Taylor that’s what I thought! 😆
John Denver...
Mac Taylor Read this comment before the big reveal. I can't stop laughing at how true this is!! 🤣🤣🤣
His nose is too pointy for Ringo's, though, and not turned down enough for John's. It's the haircut.
And yet somehow still a Ringo. 😂😂
(Though I'm all Ringo)
I love how normally hosts are like: "So this is your new book/a picture of you in ... new film", but Seth's just like: "so I was scrolling through my youtube recommended yesterday..."
All hail the algorithm

Hi
love it when john jumps in his seat in laughter like a little kid having the best time.
You're a disgrace
I’m Australian. There is national shortage of toilet paper at the moment, because people are panicking about the virus. Why toilet paper? No one knows. But as long as you can still buy toilet paper in your country, you are not truly at ridiculous panic levels just yet.
I don’t know why toilet paper, but I’m guess cholera might spread just as fast as coronavirus there now.
sum1rllyspecial I just saw a news item out of the Seattle area of Washington (where our 9 deaths have been) that they too are having a toilet paper shortage. The rest of America hasn’t gotten there yet.
Love how toilet paper is an indicator everywhere
I am completely embarrassed by the shortage hysteria. My niece who works at a country town (8hrs away from Sydney) pharmacy has had customers buying out all the disinfectant hand sanitisers to mail to family In Sydney...No cure for stupid
Apparently it's because enough people here believed that our toilet paper was made in China, and we would run out. It's not. We make over 90% of it right here....Sadly, I thought Australians were smarter than that, but, turns out we're as dumb as any other country (no names 😉) that falls for fake propaganda...
I want a nationally televised presidential debate moderated by John, Seth, and Stephen.
ooooh... I'm in!
It would be absolutely wonderful
And Kimmel, and maybe Fallon
@@mml1426 Kimmel yes, Fallon no.
Colbert: "So Mr. Biden, what is your stance on healthcare?"

Oliver: "So Mr. President, what is your opinion on cheetos and their correlation to the color of your spray tan?"
Trump: "GET HIM OUTTA HERE HE'S NOT EVEN AN AMERICAN MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN BUILD A BIGLY WALL"

You know, I thought John Oliver and Stephen Colbert got along great, but he and Seth may be even better.
Todd Sheridan if we could find an excuse to add Stephen & Trevor to this convo, I’d be in Heaven!!
Seth is kind of the kid from another town who all the kids in Jon Stewartville look at when he moves in and go "He's one of us."
@Pipe Tunes I always thought John and Stephen looked like they were pretending to be friends, they can look a bit awkward when they are on Colberts show. And Trevor Noah really is a racist homophobe, he's not a very nice person.
Seth's got a really relaxed, natural interview style and is just a likeable guy.
Seth was in the Chijohn sketch! As the best late night host!
This interview was so cute - they are like two girls on a sleepover. Having so much fun.

Yes, we all had a lot of fun in the BEFORE TIMES.
these two have SUCH good chemistry. i love their growing friendship
Yes. I feel like these two form the biggest humor-bridge between the comedy schools of SNL and The Daily Show, which if you think about it, are the two roots where the majority of big time TV comedians come from.
I LOVE seeing John and Seth together! These segments are too short.
remember when John said Seth was the best late night host
Pragya Mishra he’s not wrong!
A good fecal exchange will do that.
John and Seth are even funnier together than when they‘re on their own, simply magical

This is the happiest I've ever seen John Oliver on TV, which I guess it was compounded by the ecstasy of him becoming a U.S. citizen.
Bah zhe's just thinking about more hats off with zeth.
John with Jerry Seinfeld on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is hilarious! In fact, most episodes of that series are really, really good!
He'll be happy that soccer is mainstream here now lol

“Don’t be an idiot”, changed my life. Whenever I'm about to do something, I think, "Would an idiot do that?" And if they would, I DO NOT do that thing
Just so everyone knows, Mock The week is not an 'obscure' show in the UK, it is one of the most popular satirical panel shows in the country and has been for well over a decade.
Thank you.
I wouldn't call it satirical anymore, gonna are it's heydays, it's still funny but it lacks its bite now, needs to bring back frankie or it will die a slow death
Its worth pointing out that that is in a country where you can barely walk past a BBC building without getting pulled into appearing on a satirical panel show.
However, MtW has gone down considerably since they banned Frankie Boyle.
Yeah dude I can see they have 20k subs on youtube after just one year. That is crazy much. Britain really loves them.
USA here - I've been watching it on RUclips whenever they put something up. I really like it. I think British comedians do a great job at riffing and improv. A refreshing change from American styles. In fact, I saw a few John Oliver compilations from Mock The Week immediately before watching this Seth Meyers edit. You can already hear the speaking style he uses on his current show.

Well, when your head of government thinks you can use any old influenza vaccine if there's not one for this virus, you know you have to figure out ways to protect yourself.
I went to the store to buy milk yesterday and due to hoarding there was only one milk left. This is the regular milk with a 2 week expiration date, not some ultra-pasteurized milk that's good for 6 weeks. The virus will be with us and get worse for many months. Why hoard milk now? I keep hoping my fellow Americans aren't as dumb as I fear but they keep proving me wrong.

“The demographic we do best with is those who are self isolating” my depressed ass started dying
So True
My wife and I are retired. I have a month's worth of food all the time in my house. We stay home a lot now. So Corona is not a worry. It's still scary for most people, rightfully so. Vote for Bernie and at least you'll have healthcare for next time.
A months worth of food means you will have to venture out into a tornado of viruses soon as this one is sticking around for awhile. Mark please meet my friend Covid. Just kidding good luck to you.
Vote for Bernie if you want hundreds of thousands of illegals in the country. Are you ready to pay for them? Your taxes will go up quite a bit. Crime will also increase. You seem to be fine with crime. So sad
TheFoxwiz what on earth are you talking about. More so, National student debt is around 1.5trillion dollars. Guess how many tax dollars were used to stimulate the further declining market yesterday. 1.5trillion. No questions asked. No discussion given. Yet there seems to be endless concern about how and where the money for healthcare, canceling student debt, and other proposed policies by Bernie would come from. The same place corporations/wallstreet get their money for bail outs
@@fauxman1 There are WAY too many people in this country with no critical thinking skills that can't separate propaganda from facts. And even in our current emergency situation, there are still tons of people willing to spread lies to make a buck. Really sad. Things ARE GOING to get much worse and we NEED to come together. Will we become people helping people or bands of thieves is the question if things get bad enough. Not caring about people you don't know makes you less than human, but I see it all the time.
@@fauxman1 Bryce your math doesnt add up! In THEORY, Corona is going to reek it's havoc for a certain amount of months and a stimulus helps people stay afloat! But your National student debt is kept in check by 1. Not every body goes to College, and 2. there is somewhat still a responsibility of that person to pay back his college debt! Now if we do what you are suggesting EVERY BODY GETS TO GO TO COLLEGE on the GOVERNMENT, which by the way is the TAX PAYERS money, you will see student loan debt INCREASE to UNTHINKABLE and CRUEL levels for the tax payers because now, everyone is getting to go FREE, accept it is NOT free it will be paid by the taxpayers! So my advice would be to learn to see the BIGGER picture and theorize about things rather than listen to Socialist Bernie or CNN!
“I’ve never reached for a flaming torch that’s not there”. Classic!

Marc Lipsitch, head of the Harvard School of Public Health’s
Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics, was asked a question at a Corona
virus conference at Harvard on Wednesday. "What do you think of the president’s
comments Wednesday evening, (March 4, 2020,) that the U.S. is adequately
prepared to meet this challenge?" LIPSITCH:
"I came away from the press conference feeling cautiously optimistic. But, as is often the case, many of the
president’s individual statements were at odds with his actions and with
scientific fact, and he seemed to still be in denial. And with the news today that the leadership
is shifting again and that federal health and science officials will be muzzled
from speaking without clearance, my cautious optimism is gone. It is simply
authoritarian and un-American for politicians to tell public health leaders
what they can and can’t say about a public health crisis." Trump fired the Obama-Biden pandemic team and
agency whose job was to go to foreign countries like China and help them
contain diseases before they spread to the United States and other
countries. We don't need " an authoritarian
and un-American" President. We need
a President who knows how to handle potential pandemics.

I think it needs to be scripted, UK is better at well written stand up, that's practiced and rehearsed but the US (Whose line is a perfect example of this) are miles ahead when it comes to improv, I know whose line started here but even then it had Ryan Colin and Wayne and when they moved it to the US it was just better.

John's "burn her" is so British. He is great ❤️
True about the personal level of panic, my parents cancelled their road trip because they would've flown into both SeaTac and then Portland to get to their fun finder. They are both in their 70s and would very much like to not get sick.
So, just after he said to burn her and just before he said he hopes she's fine, I thought, "I wonder if that lady was watching this show...?"
