    Thank you for the demonstration, but how to fix the hob to the counter top?

    • @krenofix
      @krenofix Год назад +1

      Hi! thanks for watching! This hob had attaching details already integrated into it. I just had to use a light force to push it down in the right place without any silicone or glue. Some require silicone like product. The others have attachments where you have to use screws. It really depends on the product.

    which jigsaw blade do you use to cut through the worktop, its so thick

    • @krenofix
      @krenofix 7 месяцев назад

      Hi! I used regular size jigsaw blade for wood. Thickness of worktop material is 38 mm.

    Tell me you gonna use that cut-out piece of wood as a cutting board😢

      Hi! I saved it for later projects. You are probably right about the cutting board idea :)

    Any advice for removing an old one thats glued on? It recently broke but it turns out the previous homeowners dumped a load of glue to seal it to the counter top.
    No amount of scraping seems to make it budge

    • @krenofix
      @krenofix 6 месяцев назад +2

      Hi! It happens from time to time. I have used utility knife with longer blade to cut through the glue as much as possible. Then check from underneath if there are any additional attachments to the countertop. I would dry to move it from underneath. If this does not help, I would take a chisel or something similar, place a trowel on the countertop to protect it and try to use chisel to lift the stove slowly moving from side to side.

    Having a dilemma, my cabinet company does not make a cabinet base for my oven, did you build this?

    • @krenofix
      @krenofix Год назад +1

      Hi! I modified the furniture a bit so my oven would fit. I had to install the base for the oven a bit higher.

    • @dylan-nguyen
      @dylan-nguyen Год назад +1

      you can use a sink base
      take out the doors
      and then you may need to move the false door to the bottom and cut to size

    Now draw round it while it’s sat in place, then router the area the edge is sitting on 0.5mm less than the thickness of the glass surface.
    It will sit so much nicer recessed into the worktop in my opinion.
    ..Just an opinion though..

    • @krenofix
      @krenofix 6 месяцев назад

      Hi! Definitely one possibility. Then you have to seal the gap properly, so it would not collect any stuff from cooking. A bit harder to do but if there is a will, there is a way :)

    Should’ve used a plunge router to cut it out…

    • @krenofix
      @krenofix 11 месяцев назад

      Hi! Would have been faster and better cut. I do not own this tool. At least not yet. Plunge saw would have been great as well. Both are in my tools needed list.

    • @kenmac542
      @kenmac542 10 месяцев назад +2

      Router would be totally unnecessary. It would take multiple passes to cut all the way through. The cut edges will never be seen.

      @@krenofix I use a circular saw for the straight cuts and finish the corner cuts with a jigsaw or sawzall.
