Hello. Presume you have to helm the Fisher from the pilothouse, even if you set up the tiller in the cockpit, pilothouse would make it almost impossible to see to steer, don't you miss being outside in the sun on a nice day? Also what flag are you flying at your stern?
It's called the U.S. Yacht Anchor Flag, It has thirteen red/white stripes with a blue canton. In the canton is a circle of 13 white stars around a white fouled anchor. This flag was established by Congress in 1848 as a signal to be used by all licensed yachts. While still used widely in the boating community it's not without its haters, stirring its own controversy. The Fisher Motor sailers were designed for young families in mind , and older people who prefer to stay out of the sun/ weather.
@@COLINJELY For now, The United States government has agreed it would regard a vessel flying the yacht signal in the place of the ensign as being under the protection of the Stars and Stripes, even though technically that's it isn't. They have made repeated efforts to emphasize that the Stars and Stripes is our only national flag, and made the stipulation that the yacht signal should be only flown in US water and never abroad.
Nice! Congratulations to all of you!
Both!
Who is Laurie B? The boat, or the woman I saw at the steering? :)
