Enjoyed your video.I used to live in Fort Wayne when I was younger. We lived on South Wayne Avenue, then we moved to Woodway Drive in 1958.My family moved to California in 1960.I have a lot of good memories, growing up in Fort Wayne.I used to be a big Comets Fan,and back in the fifties the Pistons played there, then they moved to Detroit.I still listen to WOWO,in the early mornings sometimes. It still seems to be very family orientated.May God Bless You always.
Besides the Three Rivers Festival, there’s also plenty of ethnic festivals in the summer like Germanfest and Greek Fest, and also the Allen County Fair. Most festivals now have located in Headwaters Park, except for the ACF, which is out at the fairgrounds on Carroll Rd.

@@LivingInFortWayne lol I know my guy. It’s been about 20 years now. lol we’re old. Everything’s is well here. I’m glad to see you’re doing well though. Tell your brother and sister I asked about them.
You two moved there at a good time. The city has changed a lot since I left in 89. I used to visit for short times until I dropped off the radar in 99. Then I popped up again 2010 and stayed for a year. It was the first time living there as an adult. I was impressed I have to admit. Overall, I just couldn't live in the States again after living abroad for 7 years, so I left the country again in 2013. LOL - you think it's not diverse now!?! Compared to what it was back in the day, I thought it was extremely diverse when I was there in 2010. LOL - It was literally black (south of the railroad track) and white (north of the railroad track). I'm going to hip my lil brother to your channel. He has an art/music studio - local artist and dj.
Many people have expressed that same sentiment, about the evolution of the city. South side is still the same though from what I’ve been told. That area needs more investments.
@@LivingInFortWayne Yeah, the Southside was hit hard in the 80s and 90s drug wars, but gentrification (regardless of how some people feel about it) is at least making it look more appealing. My childhood neighborhood looks completely different. You are right though, there needs to be more investment in the Southside. My brother was talking to me about that just last week.
I have to agree. If America was a family and each state represented a child, Indiana would be in the middle; misunderstood, not hated, not loved.
