Thanks for the detailed introduction of this watch. That very loose bezel and bad finishing have already deterred my desire in getting one now. Wait for V2 or even V3!
You are welcome! I’m also hopeful they improve the execution on the next version. They have solid quality on their Rolex homages, hopefully they get there with this too
If this drops in price as much as the PD1636, I would definitely scoop one up. Really love that this has a power reserve and unique rotor. I do really like the design although I feel like certain aspects of the watch are kinda cheap, such as the dial and finish. Ill definitely keep an eye on it as well as other Pagani deals.
Thanks for the review. I like the Panerai-inspired look. That Pagani Design script on the left casebook is a deal breaker for me, though. I'm sure a V2 will come out with some changes to fit/finish and maybe an upgraded movement? Pagani does seem to listen to reviewers like you, and maybe those changes will be in future releases.
Thanks for watching! I agree, hopefully V3 removed the script and fixes the lack of finishing. I’d be interested in getting another with those improvements. Do you have any Pagani Designs?
Fully agree! Nice to not just have a knock off, rather it is a true homage. The name on the side is a weird choice, but hopefully they remove it in the next iteration!
Looks great. I think it’s one of the few strongly inspired and not direct copy PD. I like the dial’s texture and the subdials. I’d get a rubber or leather strap instead.
your simple nato strap is definitively most beautifull....I love the reserve indicator, but I don't like the pagani side script.... 200m dive watch with a back glass is nice, but I' prefer waiting for a V2. or an other model with this mecanism.
Just picking one up for $60 ... At that price probably worth it defects and all. I'll be looking out for the issues when it arrives to see if the issues are still there.
the new 2023 designs from pagani are great, the prices are getting lower, but the quality is getting lower too, particulary if i compare with my 3 years old pagani watches. not only yours but different new model i tested. it's sad because i love these new designs like this one, the 1736 ( 56 euros with a nh39 ^^ ) or the PD-YS010..
I agree. I have an older Tiffany blue Rolex homage that is solid quality. Hopeful that they step it back up, but hard to beat the price point even with the decrease in quality.
Got this for £40. Thankfully they must have fixed the quality issues, mines has none of the ones listed. I ordered the same James Bond Nato for it and threw the supplied strap in the bin. That's one of the worst wristbands I've encountered.
That is an awesome price for this watch, especially since yours is better quality. I’d buy a few at that price!!! I now have it on a red camo rubber strap that I got on eBay for $20, great deal and a fun way to replace the base strap. A shame that the strap it comes on is so bad! What color did you get?
Yes, Chinese movement. Keeps OK time. I do not have a timegraph and I usually only wear this once a week or so, but I have not noticed any significant errors in accuracy
I was actually considering buying this watch until you did the close ups. After seeing the extremely poor finishing, I've changed my mind. Nice review though.
Bezel is loose. The supplied strap is junk the spring bars a cheap rubbish. The tooling on the lugs is JUNK . Poor show from pagani QC. It's not just the watch your using I have one as does my friend with the same unacceptable rubbish
Thank you for this review. Surprised to note all the defects - I have a few Paganis but so far haven't encountered any, touch wood!

Whats crazy is the bezel play on an actual Panerai Submersible. Its truly awful and feels like a toy.
Same! I love the looks at the specs. The lume looks better than some of the other models as well

@@OntheWrist several. I have a Speedmaster homage, the GMT Master one, the red and white Moonswatch one a couple of others.
love it. at least it’s not a photocopy of any Panerai models … and this design works 👍🏼 (except the etching of its name on the side)😅
Fully agree! Nice to not just have a knock off, rather it is a true homage. The name on the side is a weird choice, but hopefully they remove it in the next iteration!
Very good! Thank you for our watch!
You are welcome! Always happy to review more ;)
ok forward to seeing more of your work, and thank you for supporting our watch.
Thank you for your support of our watches!@@OntheWrist

I agree! I was thinking a rubber strap was the next step. Really hoping they continue with this line and improve some of the minor quality things

The Pagani script is a big design flaw. Here’s to hoping the next edition is better!

$60 is hard to beat! Yes, please let me know if you have the same issues. Curious if mine is just a lemon

@OntheWrist I got the Black and silver Bond Nato strap. I have ordered a black Silicone strap too.
Oh man, I was a little excited about this watch… The refinement just isn’t there, maybe V2 will improve upon these finishing/machining flaws.
Glad I could help you make an informed decision! Hopefully they get the quality up to their Rolex homages
Weird...at 3 o'clock it should indicate down/ HIGH not down/ HAUT . Haut is french word for HIGH. Don't understand.
We have to wait for v2.
Is that a movement made in China? How is it keeping time?
Yes, Chinese movement. Keeps OK time. I do not have a timegraph and I usually only wear this once a week or so, but I have not noticed any significant errors in accuracy
41mm looks great i wish Panerai would take it more seriously
It’s selling for $40 now on lazada
I was actually considering buying this watch until you did the close ups. After seeing the extremely poor finishing, I've changed my mind. Nice review though.
Glad I could help you make an informed decision! I’m hopeful they fix the issues with this one in their next release of this case shape
It's nice, but why on Earth did they think it was a good idea to mix languages on the power reserve dial?
Looks great. It's very worthy.
I think so for the price! I do hope they improve the issues in the next generation though
Wow this is a chonker!
PD 1701 still the best PD watch.
Maybe I’d polish the whole case. What do people think.
A version 3 buy...
If they continue on their trajectory, version 3 will be 🔥
Finishing killed the watch,sorry.
