Us ole schoolers know where these samples come from most of them... Michael McDonald is a legend
so sweet watching the youngins discovering and enjoying the OGs
I don't care how many times I've heard this song, I still love it just as much as I did the first time. It's so smooth-vocals, music, lyrics. Classic.
sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Alberto Rogelio Instablaster :)
The LEGENDARY Iconic Mr Michael McDonald
This is such a jam. Instrumentals, vocal, bass line, background vocals. Yeah, the whole thing is still🔥 after all these years.
My mom loves Mike McDonald and his songs with the Doobie Brothers. Great singer/songwriter/pianist.
I'm 75 and love your channel young man. It's about the music with you, unlike the majority of these "reaction" channels which are an ego trip for wannabe influencers. Ultimate respect!
He got so much soul. And i always thought it was a black lady doing the background vocals on this song but its Michael McDonald’s sister.
Maureen McDonald
He is with the band, Doobie Brothers. They have some really cool songs too, even before he joined the band. Many artists have used him to sing backup vocals. You’ve probably heard him without knowing it. Good reaction.
Do Patti Labelle and Michael McDonald “ On My Own” classic slow jam
Blue Eyed Soul…Michael McDonald from The Doobie Brothers. Great Singer, Writer, Producer.🙏🏾❤️💐🎹🎤
My dude caught that "Regulators" sample right away, nice
Dope reaction! Warren G- Regulate sampled this song... Hall & Oates- I Can't Go for That (No Can Do) is a song that you would dig a lot too.
And part of the lyrics for this song were sampled from an even older song. That's how crazy it works. It's multi-layered sampling over decades creating hit after hit.
As you go, you’re gonna be surprised the samples that a lot of rap sings used-✌️
You mean, "Crap" not rap.
such an amazing soul voice👍🏽👍🏽🖤❤
Great video! You must check out Michael McDonald "What a Fool Believes" and "Yah Mo Be There" where he collaborated with the late James Ingram. Those are 2 gems! ❤
Blue eyed Soul at it purist form...
Classic blue eyed soul
Smart hip hop artists know where to go for killer samples. Glad you enjoyed the original. Steely Dan is sampled like crazy and Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell.
I was gonna recommend Bobby Caldwell “What You Won’t Do For Love” but looks like you found that gem.
I love when your eyes lroll skyward as you try to figure out which rapper stole this beat in order to become famous and make money.
It's called sampling and money was likely payed for the rights.
@@zombievikinggaming4258 It's called lack of imagination or originality...and just because you paid for the use of it (and sometimes these guys have to pay up because they got caught in the theft) doesn't make it yours.
New subscriber. Loved the reaction!
He was the Man in the eighties!!!
Louis B Johnson on the bass!
Wow!! Never knew that! He's amazing!
@@nadiluvmuzik1284 yes, one of the best!
"Black Cow" - Steely Dan
Same thing...within 2 seconds you'll recognize the sample. Steely Dan a fav among the Old School hip-hop elite. De La, Tribe, Blackstar, The Roots. In fact there's a vid of Talib Kwali talking about Steely Dan.
Hope you check them out.
Steely Dan is the best! Love their entire catalog!
Never knew where that sample came from. I’ll have to explore their music more.
MsFears tons of great tracks.
Peg
Deacon Blues
Don’t take me alive
Do it again
Reeling in the years
To name just a few
Lord Tariq and Peter Gunz used the Steely Dan sample - that song Deja Vu was hot back in 97 -98
MsLuvmusic81 yeah, was trying not to give it away but no biggie
I'm glad you liked my choice. ❤👍
First time visiting :D this was great ..you are great :D gonna go check out some of your other videos
Awesome! Thank you!
Great song!
This'll really blow Black people's minds. The backup band on Aretha's RESPECT: www.theartsdesk.com/sites/default/files/images/stories/TV/adam_sweeting/2014/Aretha%20M%20ShoalsRIM.jpg
You should check out Mass Appeal from #GANG-STAR 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Gonna subscribe cuz of this song lol
Hiya cute guy👋🏽❤💋 like your locks & soft voice❤💥👍🏽😍😍
Whodini was the only rap group who did not sample. They worked with Thomas Dolby who created music for them
Doobie Brothers What A Fool Believes ft Michael- it’s an anthem for US today
Good old-school jam right there
Michael has a gazillion songs! He's did back up for a lot of groups plus sang with the Doobie Brothers -When a fool belives-It keeps you running-real love-minute by minute-a duet with James Ingram- I'm mo be there. There all great songs!😍😌
Sampling has been a controversy since The Sugar Hill Gang sampled Good Times from Chic to do Rappers Delight sometime in the 70s I think.
DAMN AT THE END HER HAIR LOOKS LIKE MINE OUT OF THE SHOWER LOL
the jam!go ahead White Bread,Mr McDonald!!
its Michael McTrap 😂😂😂 anyone remember the vine videos
Yes...they were all sampled
You’re gonna know this immediately!!! Won’t spoil it but- ok I’m off to watch-🤘🏼✌️👍
Fireee
Dude! You got to get mic'd up so we can hear you talk while the music is playing.
I turned the volume of the music up because people said the music was too low and now the mic is too low. I'll adjust it again.
@@JustJammin Due, if I haven't told you lately I appreciate you and all that you do. Thank you. You're naturally soft-spoken so I don't want you to shout, maybe a mic closer to your mouth.
@@JustJammin Also, I messaged you on facebook but didn't hear anything back but I see you did a few Selena numbers so you must have gotten the message from somewhere else. Would you consider some Zydeco/Cajun and African beats as well? Maybe some Blues, if someone suggested it? What about Comedy? I'm asking because I want you to get your numbers up just like you do. I'm guessing the more types of things you do, they more chances of people subscribing. But I'm not trying to change you. You do you.
@@JustJammin i just watched your reaction 2 Michael McDonald-i keep 4gettin,i luved the little hand wave in the song,i know this iz business but we cant be serious all the time, its kool to throw some funnin in it it keeps uz sane because weze all MENTAL!!
blue eyed soul
Gotta do some Hall & Oates
He was part of the doobie brother no one knew he was white for the longest time a great voice he had songs with the greats patty labell and others
Jeeeeez bro you have one of the most beautiful smiles and your voice is sexy too and your whole vibe is just wtf I’m in love 😍😂
I hope you’re not a teenager btw. I assumed you were at least in your twenties, otherwise I was outta line for my bold comment😬😫
My brother and I would always pick on him since all his songs sound the same 😂
lol!
No its Michael McDonald
Sample game on TILT!!! ur good J...Pretty good...more adulation to follow i am sure
I keep forgetting he is white
I didn't like Warren G's Regulators because I loved this song too much. Didn't feel Warren G's song was original
