We’ve had an eglu cube for 10 years now and it’s still rockin! The clips eventually needed to be replaced with zip ties and we did have to reweld the wheels back on when they broke

Great to see the coop in use and not brand new or super clean. We’re considering buying this one as s replacement for the wooden leftovers of our current coop and I love how you show what it looks like in use with some dirt and everything. Great review and keep up the good work!

We’ve bought it and love it. The chickens love it too. Cleaning is never my most enjoyable task but with the Eglu, at least it’s not frustrating and it’s actually very easy. Plus the coop looks good in the garden.

Thank you for your amazing video!
    I have a few questions:
How long does it take to clean/can you show us the cleaning please?
Is there anything rescue specific to keep in mind?
Are the roosts nice for their feet? My only concern about this coop is that they look quite flat and potentially slippy and obviously hens don't like slippy things.
My joints dislocate easily so it's important for me to understand how easy 'easy' is with regards to things like pushing the wheels down etc. Do you have anything you could liken it to please? Is pulling it harder than pulling a wheelbarrow?
Would you say opening the doors/the latches are similar to those of a stroller or are they stiffer?
If you were to set up another cube what would you change? Would you use the Omlet feeders still?
I notice that you don't really have toys etc. in there, is that because they're new rescues or would you just not recommend them overall?
How well do you feel this coop stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter? I worry that plastic isn't well known for insulation.
Is this the best coop in your opinion for rescues?
Do you think you may need to lower the cube as they get older/would it be hard for them to get into?
Thank you again for all of your wonderful videos!

I saw that you use lime in the bedding of the coop in a different video of yours. Have you ever used DE? Is lime a better alternative to repel bugs compared to diatomaceous earth? Do you think this would work to transport five chickens during an eleven hour car ride in the back of an SUV? Does the henhouse portion completely detach from the rest of the green wire/stand/wheels/frame? We're considering rehoming our chickens (with a local friend) or taking them with us when we move.

    • @TaraBeaverCoronado
      @TaraBeaverCoronado  4 года назад

Teresa Danak the green part isn’t made to detach and attach on a regular basis. 5 chickens can easily fit in it. You could possibly just build the green part for then finish assembling after the move.
But if I’m being honest you’d be better off using a large dog crate for the move and have this delivered to your new house for their coop.

Heathen Wolf soon they will be in a 20x20 pen and then eventually they’ll be free range. I like having them in this coop because I’m able to monitor them. Just today I had to pull a broken egg out of one’s vent 😞 I’m afraid if they’re in a bigger pen, or mixed with my flock, I could miss things like that. Luckily since it has wheels I’m able to easily move it to keep them on fresh grass. They won’t get that is a fixed pen.

This coop is trash. At least the one I finally got in the mail. Doesn’t fit correctly, directions are really bad, it also feels really cheap. I would recommend you make your own or buy a different brand. For a coop plus six foot run it’s over a thousand dollars and after trying to put it together and getting to the coop and the walls not fitting I’d say it’s not worth 250 dollars. Be WARNED this product isn’t always made in good quality. She may have had a good time with this but I’m very upset with this crappy product.

I am so so sorry to hear this!!! I’ve actually never heard this bad of a review on them. I still use mine and absolutely love it.
Have you contacted Omlet? I think quality is very important to them.
