Love your videos! Always accurate and free of annoying (and wrong) commentary, each video is just a gem. Thank you so much, Hopeless Car Guy! We love you! 🤠
In the late ‘60s, it seemed like my high school friends that came from large families loved Suburbans. Not only did they seat a lot of kids, they easily towed a lot campers and boats for summer vacations. Another fine video, HCG. 👍👍👍
Growing up in Brazil I remember the Veraneio very well. During the sixties and seventies the country was being oppressed by a military government and the police used those vehicles to transport prisoners. So the sight of a "camburão" was something to be feared by anyone... Great video as always! Thanks!
Excellent! You did a grand job again. I liked you mentioned GM Brazil and Holden as well. I smiled when I saw you explain it and talk about the changes and models. I did want to share that at GM Mexico they sold the GMC version with a Chevrolet emblem on the grille where it would say GMC. I liked the fact you mentioned the Cadillac version the Escalade and shared how it has become more luxurious. It has. They have the High Country trim. This vehicle is surround by competitors inside and outside GM. You have Escalade and Yukon and Tahoe and Traverse at GM and the Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator at Ford and Jeep Grand Wagoneer at Jeep. Thank you again.
3:17 - 4 doors on one side, I saw one of those at a big car show in NJ in 2019. I never looked at the driver's side though. I definitely didn't have the raised roof, like in your picture. One thing I learned from this video is that they only had one door on the driver's side, at least for a while. Anyway it was interesting to see this full history, and then including the Cadillac versions of more recent years. Thanks.
When I was a kid growing up in the 70s I favored the GMC Suburban and even though my Uncle illustrated that the tailgate on his 75 suburaban had the best use of the cargo area I still favored the Panel doors because they looked cool
1967-91 my fav yrs, todays suburban is more of a 3 row luxury family school bus with independent rear axle for a smooth ride and leg room for the 3rd row , not much utility they cant tow much any more

Thank you. Mistakes have been made, but I try.
Great run down, I have forgotten most of these trucks. 🚛

When I was in school they were mostly used as crummys.
@@thehopelesscarguy Lol… I’m afraid I’m unfamiliar with the term “crummys”. In my high school years I lived in Michigan. 😉
@@Primus54 A crew hauler. Typically loggers.
@@thehopelesscarguy Gotcha… thanks!

Blacked out Suburbans have that image in many places.

Actually the different doors on each side was news to me as well.

The advantage to the doors over the tailgate was reach. I suppose that is why it is a full hatch now, but I miss the tailgate.
Starting in 1956 with a pickup with V 8 and hydromatic transmission I had various models of them through to the Avalanche
Now I am too old for any
😢

I like suburbans.
They have their uses.
