Why do the teammates copy her routine on the sidelines!?! It looks terrible and takes away from her performance. It’s unfortunate because she did a good job.

You’ll find that every team has a part in one of their routines that everyone copies. Its very likely most for teams to do that, and it’s not unfortunate because they were supporting their teammate and showing respect towards them. It’s common practice, get used to it
It’s called team spirit. My team does it and it’s so fun and supporting. In no way does it take away from their performance. Even college gymnasts do it.
