When we visit Mountain Brothers is a must stop.
That Mountain Brothers General Store is really nice. Tha Harper Brothers General Store 2-3 miles down the road is really nice too.

Back in the day when I worked in a museum gift shop some of the display items that looked super cool were always priced so high because it was almost priced not to sell but everything in there had to have a price tag lol 😂

I loved living in Wears Valley, 1999-2004, 2 houses, one on dogwood farms mtn. And one on colton circle. It's changed a lot, so blessed to have seen the old, my best friends live there, cherished memories ❤️
May I ask, were you moved to? Not the fact area, but broad area. The reason I ask… things are changing and I think of moving away. Not sure where I want to go to. I hope it was a good move for you. I will always miss the smokies. However, it’s becoming too expensive and busy. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing. Wearsvalley is our favorite place to stay when we come up. We drop in to Mountain Brothers every time we are up, one of our favorite places to visit.

Great video. I like seeing you guys try new things and it's nice to see healthier options when eating out in the Smokies. I would love to see more videos of healthier food options in the area. What is a technology fee? I see this is another restaurant that charges you if you use a debit or credit card. I don't think customers should have to pay for the fee restaurants pay for the use of a card machine. If they can't afford the fee they should be cash only. I think they are trying to take advantage of the tourist area.

We have been going to pigeon forge, Gatlinburg, Cherokee for many years. We love the Smokies but are looking for a different place to visit around the Smoky mountains. Do you have any suggestions? The coleslaw you had is definitely the kind we like. What is a technology fee?

We stopped at the same store on June 4th, new owners we were told , definitely not to many hand made crafts, we looked for a Sawer Whirligig, bought 2 ,two different times there, not available anymore, shortage of craftsmen I was told

Enjoyed the review of Sloppy Hog's. If you go back, I would like you to try the Cheeseburger Pizza. I think that sounds very interesting! Love the Wears Valley area and Towsend. Those areas are more like what Pigeon Forge was like when I was kid. I love your back to nature exploring.

That's the punishment you get for using a debit or credit card. $1.13 they're charging.

I had the best fresh Oyster PoBoy at that food truck park when I was here in my first visit to the Smokys. Loved Wears Valley and Elkmont camp ground. So happy I moved to the Smokys 😁. Those boiled peanuts are really good too 😁

WHAT THE HECK IS A TECHNOLOGY FEE?
A made up fee to get another dollar or two out of people.
Credit card processing fee.....
When you use a credit or debit card a fee is charged. A lot of the independent stores have to cover the fees of the card companies. Unfortunately it is the downside of plastic money! Lol. I hate it too.
Restaurants are now passing along the credit cards fees to their customers.Unless you are paying with cash.
A lot of places are starting this unfortunately, it’s just a card fee… basically the business has to pay for the technology end of accepting card payment so they’re making their money back by having you pay for it… 🥲

We love Wears Valley, our happy place... we go to all those places that you have shown us... Mountain Brothers is one of our favs and Dawn I am right with you I got the blueberry fried pie too, it was delicious....we ate at sloppy Hogs when we were there a few months ago and it was also delicious...thanks for taking us along and we will be back in the Fall..

Cool! My daughter was just there today. They are on their honey moon staying in Townsend. From Ft Wayne, IN . I told them about mtn Bros! Been their fav area for wears valley. Went to the former friendly Falls & another favorite. I told her we found it out from you all. When dawn got attacked by the chickens.😂they got a ton of pickled good, also got me some apple butter.

My wife and i were just at Mountain Brothers 3 days ago they have some of the best coffee.
Don't most places have a price for residents that's lowered than the visitors prices.
