I've watched a good bit of fights from you guys, and you never disappoint! I've been disillusioned with the UFC, Glory, and a lot of other fighting leagues because they rely on you to think everyone who steps in the ring, cage or whatever to be a big time star. You guys don't care about star power in the least. Your fights are two guys going in there and throwing hands, and that's why I love your promotion because it's not about convincing people that some guy's a star when they spoon feed him opponents.

Putting your spear in the ground is an old battle tactic. When a rider came at you, you stuck your spear so it would ram into the horses chest throwing the rider. So he was referring that when he came at him full force stick that jab out as hard as he could and catch him hard in the face or chest and throw him off. Then attack.

Actually, back in the golden age of boxing, commentators were valued for their poesy and imagery in describing the sweet science. He's sort of in that tradition.

@@richardsmith70 Yeah I was just interested because we're just starting barenuckle here in America (which I know hasn't been technically legal in either place very long) and we got a bunch of former MMA guys doing it. I've seen these documentaries about these legendary bareknuckle fighters in the UK and Ireland that been fighting in trailer parks for 20 years. So I was wondering if their focus on just bareknuckle would give them the advantage over a MMA or boxing guy.

I am pretty sure that the Referee is Barrington "One Eyed Baz" Patterson. One of the toughest and scariest dudes to ever roam the London underground. I have seen a few interviews w/him and he is definitely on the "Do Not Fuck With!" list...lol...(Ya....they just said "Barrington" threw the towel back out..lol...It IS him.) Go watch the James English interview with Baz. Pretty interesting.
