  • A few months ago, "CBS Mornings" lead national correspondent David Begnaud introduced viewers to an innovative architect in New Orleans and some college students at Tulane University who have found a way to provide life-changing wheelchairs to kids who really need them, all for free. Since he first shared their story, more donations have rolled in, and then something even more incredible happened.

I'm a wheelchair user at university right now, seeing this honestly made me cry. It's so important that people have the tools and structures we need for accessibility. We are capable of so much if only we have the support we need.

It's people like Noam that should be receiving large amounts of money from the super rich! He's done amazingly well for others.

AGREED. This story filled my heart. I bet it fills Noam's heart with joy too, the best kind of riches.

wow this is so amazing! seeing how this can be a stepping stone for further progress with some of the kids was magical! great work reporting them as well! music can be so important in development for any human so seeing them make things to help people create music and be part of the sound was very touching.

Truly the ultimate definition of Tikkun Olam(repairing the world). I wish my nephew could’ve had this technology when he was a little boy. It’s miraculous!

I love the idea. So great to see. Just a little thought, it seems like Jackson’s legs were bent quite a bit. His legs should be stretched out a little more so they are in a more natural position. The way he was sitting seems like it would be awful hard to straighten them if he was in the chair longer than 2 hours.
