I just turned 41 and started a degree in engineering in college. I have been watching your videos for about a year now and greatly enjoy them. When my financial aid deposit comes in ; I shall be ordering a few things from your store. Starting with this vacuum pen and hopefully the uni-t thermals will be in also. Keep up the great videos and equipment.
small tip: you should be able to switch silicon ends between metal elements e.g. have bend pipe with larger suction cup.
So useful. Grabbing chip with tweezers sometimes can damage board or disarrange other parts in critical position. I like this vacuum one very good specs
Wonderful work you do to help the community of technology.
Having the correct tools makes the job so much easier and you do make it look easy too. Nice!
You know the amount of times I’ve had to create tools just for a project I was doing, it sucks😂
It's nice to see new tools put to the test in a real life situation. The epitome of a 'true' review.
Amazing work you do. Thank you for sharing.
The new vacuum pen has CLOSED the door to the 9th dimension!I
I will suggest that the surface of the chip or any chip will need to be swabbed with some alcohol to keep the surface clean and so that the vacuum can get a good seal.
One question I have would be to know if you could switch the large suction cup with the angled one.
Do the cups come off so that you can do a switch?
I'm sure the 9th dimension overlords are talking to the 10th dimension to hatch up a new operation to make Alex's chips disappear even more. Count on it.
Amazing pen though. I'd buy two of them and have one with a smaller tip, and the other with a medium / larger tip. This would save up on time spent trying to remove and insert a tip while increasing the longevity of the tips i.e.: If pen A's small tip goes bad, I can still replace it with pen B's smaller tip and vice versa for pen B's medium tip.
@@NervousNoodles Great suggestion Sir. Thank you.
I'm also guessing that those "rubber" parts are actually silicone.
I would assume that you could keep them supple with an occasional spray with some silicon in a can. I found that using silicone spray in a can is good to use on a car's window tracks to keep them good and slippery but first give them a wipe down to remove the dirt.
Ok, I'm off to the 11th dimension as there, I am the host of Jeopardy.
Bye!
@@robertpage2023 I agree - they're not rubber but rather silicone which is why they can withstand a high temperature, somewhere north of (200C / 392F. Either way it's a solid product and Alex is awesome to review it for others to try out. I'd be curious in the longevity of the pen though and the tips themselves.
Thank you man, I really love how you explain things!
two videos in 1 day. what a treat!!
I bought this , but I dont know How to use , but now I`ll trying 👏👏👏👏 thank you ! 🙏
I'm just fixing electronics. After 10pm I'll sit and watch your video. I have been following you for 2 years. I hope you will do it for a long time. Thank you from Thailand.
If you place a small square of kapton over the top of the chip, you can pick up larger chips with the smaller tip. It makes a better seal. Most IC's are matte surface and allow air to escape under the rubber seal.
That looks like a very nice tool. No batteries needed, no usb-charging cabel needed, just "mechanic"-magic. Nice review...thanks for it. Greets
Nice tool, great demonstration
2 videos in 1 day.. Great Job Alex.
another new cool tool.very interesting to see
Love how now your tweezers don't on these chips when the pen vacuum pen arrives
I'll give this tool a shot! It looks promising!
Great\ review.Could that be used for disk spaltters? Thank you for sharing
Is the smaller tip small enough to grab ICs off of iPad / iPhone boards? Tristar or Audio IC. These live in dense areas...
Greetings from Turkey. Good video again
Nice review! We like it! 🥰
Good tool to use. Hope there is options to buy extra tips when they go to the 9th dimension. Angled tips look a better idea.
That was a hot tip....thanks!
Wow, this is an incredible tool
my favorite technician...
That’s what you call good clean living to have those kinds of results 👍
That extractor sound, i got flashbacks from dentist sitting on chair with wide open mouth, turning same sound means pain may come. 🥺
do you press the button on the side to activate the suction?
Very nice video!
Subscribed now I have watched a lot of your channel videos :)
I'm a tech guy myself and I like the way how you talk about only the things that matters
i can hangout in ur office for whole day
even tho i dont understand but i love those repair tools
Sir very nice videos.....One question the watch you are wearing which is the model??
looks awesome tough the bigger tip should be bended as well i think... cool stuff cheers 👍
Like a good gadget. Works very well.
Did you solder that first chip on crooked?
Does the Heat damage the vacuum tip ??
Nice video
I would use that on the smaller chips too.
Hello NorthidgeFix,I have a vacum pen too and its great.
Please we want the kwy fob tester link
Amazing!!!
One tip for success with the mechanic grabber is. Ensure that the silicone bit on the end of the nozzle is not pushed on too far. Push it on too far and the silver plastic pops out the end and it won't work. Also don't press on the chip too hard or the same problem will occur. Easy fix it to just pull the silicone back off slightly.
What would be really great is if mechanic incorporated a chip tapper in the tool too. Think swiss army knife.
What about the gloves?, is the thumb hole standard?
Do you have any course, where I can learn from you?
Beautiful👍
Nice tools
Best wishes from DR AV RECEIVER, INDIA🇮🇳
Very nice 👍 tool
Vac pen are also use in electronic manufacturing...it was generally use for ic programming, purpose was to reduce elec.static, fingerprint, and easy pick up on programming machine.. A good point for a technician to have
vacuum chip and pen --- best friends for life
Very nice you can made it easly
Do you ever run into overheated components with your hot air at 320 C? I noticed you were reflowing quickly. I particularly worry about ICs and MLCCs who’s value can change pretty drastically with temperature exposure. But if you can handle that many parts at that temperature and you never experience it, I might have to try hotter temperatures like that.
He regularly uses over 500C. It doesn't harm the chips because there's no power to them. If they got that hot under load there would be issues.
Nice item
Cant you use this to pick up spilled liquid metal?
Super 👍
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
👍 Excellent 👌
You can use the pen to line up the chip, being looking for one.
Nice tool
Can deliver to India?
But the head of that pin it resist the heat?
nice Vedio ☮️👍
Nice👍👍👏👏👏👏
Looks like I will be buying a vacuum pen.
Osm sir ji
Hello Alex, thanks for your videos, i would love to see a video about Soldering Stations and Soldering tips you use in your videos, or maybe point me in the right direccion to buy better soldering tips, i use hakko T18 BR02 tip on a Hakko FX888 station, but the solder dont stick on the tip, just goes up the tip at very different temperatures. Thanks in advance.
It sounds like you need to clean the tip off. This is something you need to do after every use no exceptions. Look up some tutorials on you tube or google a damp sponge is what I use when iron is hot somewhat quickly swipe each side of tip across it then tin tip with solder. Tip should be slightly shiny and smooth when in good condition.
@@frizzlefry1921 Thanks for the help. I thought those long tips Hakko T15 JL02 he uses could be easier to solder with
@@juangbetancurs6996 Not a problem.
Good sir
Maybe the review video on the screwdriver will be reviewed by big boss 😄 because he does the disassembly process on almost all repairs
sir if you can please do a video how to use the me region analyzer to clean bios chip , also teach us how to use the fit c tool to do the same thing , iam from srilanka sir , thank you for the videos
Good
Could you please do gpu repair videos more often?
Я вот не все слова понимаю но даже и так все понятно спасибо тебе дружище
I use the battery powered hakko 394
Next do the multimeter you sell :)
1:56 (You have already presented these screwdriver set) :)
I bought one once but it was garbage. This looks QUALITY
👍
Is it true that most thermal cameras are artifically limited to 9fps because of some weird US law?
Not true
Did you buy JCB station????
Do the m92 chip on the switch 😂
the simple things are normally the best ...
Whereas I respect your skills, knowledge and experience; I have no idea how you tolerate working in such a tip.
11:55 Just the tip, though.
With this pen there is no 9th dimension anymore ;)
This is ok to pin ic s not to mobile repair
Says "This is a big chip"... see it on camera its 1 cm >
failer with bga
The 9th dimension does not approve!!! 😜
1:30 ... Long story short. The One is accessible to people like me, just starting out, the other... not so much. Unless you have some angel investor tossing fat stacks in your bank account that is. 300 is doable, 6000... Not so much.

This pen sucks.
literally
Lol
Some products are simply exaggeration.
👍
