Keep it simple, keep it direct, don't go on dumb fishing expeditions. Always a good concept for pools since it's limited time and points versus the direct elimination. It's funny that, when you ask these world class guys what they think other fencers should value most, it's footwork. Do simple stuff, do it well. Then, all that flash can happen afterwards. The way Borel eats up the strip with his feet is always so impressive.
Sir, you keep calling these low line parries 8. I see them taking a classic 2 parry from 6 position, hand finishing in pronation. Am I missing something?
Doesn't really matter what the action is, 8 or 2, whether the hand is pronated or not, will not change my final action nor do I think Borel would either!

It doesn't matter much exactly which parry it is - it's low outside either way

It might well be half and half, hand-wise. Thumb at 2 o’clock, left handed, or 10, right handed.
