Kirk Ferentz for some reason had Joe Pa's number. Penn State couldn't get it done. 02, 03 and 08. PSU was clearly going to the national title game and Iowa killed those hopes.

While this is so incredible for us Hawkeye fans, it is so incredibly sad for Penn State that just a year short of a decade later, not just their football program but the Paterno family has been shamed by what Sandusky did to kids. While I would probably feel different if I were from the Penn State family, I felt that Paterno followed what he was supposed to do in reporting what he had been told to the next higher authority and now they've taken his statue and glory from a man who is gone.
This game played a major role in the NCAA adopting instant replay. There are other videos that give replays of the bad calls in this game. The TD at 4:09 wasn't even close.
