Yeah, and you can really tell it took him a long time. This is infinitely more frames than I could ever make myself sit down and draw, hahah. I've been using Aseprite for four years now, and my longest animation took me about four or five months and was maybe 30 seconds long. _And it used sprites._ *_And I didn't even FINISH it._*

I’m glad you liked it, & I’m proud of it too! I’ve managed to write the whole script for my graphic novel that this animation is loosely based on, but I’ve been pretty busy at the moment, so I’m only halfway through sketching out the pages..

The idea with Vala was that she was definitely meant to have an ambiguous gender because she's always in her space suit, and the helmet has a digital screen.. :)

The Poncho Pilgrim that’s cool. So... can you teach some animation here as far as character design with these brushes? Also, can you share your brush set?
@@SalveyB yo so everything you see in this vid is done with the pencil tool in photoshop, set to 1 pixel width. ;] I've made a couple of pixel art "tutorials". So you can check em out on my channel. But for my more illustrationy stuff I mainly just use a few of 'Kyle's brushes' ✌️

How did you do the lighting?
Perpetual novice mostly just overlay layers in photoshop! ✌️
What software did you use to create animation?
I don´t know if he is going to answer his secrets(would be interesting to hear from him what he uses), but a lot of pixel art artist and animators uses part of the adobe suite (photoshop and adobe animator ) to make this but I don´t know if it is wise to use expensive and medium to hard learning curve software. Check software like aseprite (to create the sprites an movements) and mamoset hexel (for scenes and sequences) whose environment allow you to create animations and video shortcuts (case of mamoset Hexel) through the same work environment and using low machine resources and finally if you want to refine and convert the gif obtained as a sequences you can use software like filmora or corel video studio pro whose menu allow you to upload directly to youtube.
Hey yo! So I use photoshop CC to make the animation. frame by frame. and export them shot by shot, and then I put it all together in iMovie.
I used to use CS4 up until last year though!
But there are some other great programs out there that allow you to do the same thing (if not more!)
You still work in this ? i have a proyect and need a designer .
