I love this. Spanish was my first language but once I was moved to English classes I lost so much of my fluency. Once I had my kids I was determined to make sure they new both fluently and I’m so proud of both of them. Keep at it. The more you speak it the more they understand. 👍🏼

True, but it's always different in every household. I dont blame them but I don't encourage them to NOT teach them. In fact, they are still young, it's best for them to learn spanish now then later. In my experience, both of my parents valued culture so they encouraged us to speak both Spanish and Italian. They came from Mexico and knew we would learn English from school, which is why they prioritized their languages. My nephew is now a 2nd generation and we are also making him speak all three languages. My brother and his wife always speak to him in english however, due to him still having my parents alive (his grandparents) it is easier for him to learn all languages fluently since they are coming from someone who speaks the natal language. So no "SPANGLISH" OK 🤣🤣
