Former Israeli peace negotiator Daniel Levy discusses ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas, the ruling party in the Gaza Strip, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s continued hostility to compromise and the Biden administration’s ineffectual mediation. American military aid to the Israeli killing and destruction machine and its burdens on the American taxpayer citizen, it becomes clear that American administrations, with the blessing of Congress, have granted Tel Aviv about 260 billion dollars since 1946. Taking inflation and currency changes into account, the amount is currently estimated at about 320 billion. This aid is paid to Israel in a lump sum and the US has to borrow the money from banks and pay interest on this money which INCREASES THE BURDEN ON THE TAXPAYER BY ABOUT $100 million over the announced figures.
I bet that's a underestimate if you include the aid to Palestine which wouldn't be needed

The Lancet [medical org.] said this week that over 186,000 Palestinians have died as a direct and indirect result of the war in Gaza. Direct - bombing and killing by Israelis. Indirect - starvation from lack of supplies. housing and infrastructure destroyed causing insanitary environment and disease, hospitals and homes destroyed causing lack of medical care and exposure to the elements. Palestinians with cancer and other illnesses have no medical care as remaining hospitals are inundated with bombing/shooting patients. No care for pregnancy, birthing, childhood disabilities/illnesses etc. So indirectly Palestinians are dying as a result of the war as well.
