The 15.6” screens are both 1080p original screens, both are still sharp and good with slight color burn on some area of the W520; the T430 is 1600x900 which I upgraded 3 or 4 years ago but there appears 2 yellow area now.

The t430 is windows 7 bit w520 is windows 8 so the w520 has more values than the t430 so The t430 is good and same for w530 and the w520

Sumit Pedgaonkar Hi, in my opinion it is quite durable. I use it as my work PC. You can upgrade to SSD and max the 32GB DDR3 RAM.

Have you tried to start up with an external monitor? If it starts up properly, it might be a dead screen or cable?
