It's the season to be jolly! In today's guitar tutorial I will be teaching you how to play Happy Xmas by John Lennon and Yoko Ono on the guitar. This guitar lesson has some very interesting chord shapes to try and master, I hope you all enjoy the lesson today!

Hi Amber, another brilliant lesson. Particularly like the way you construct your lessens into bite sized easy to follow chucks.
The play through at the end is also perfect.Too many RUclipss add instruments and other embellish making them sound great but not giving the learner a realistic naked guitar sound to aspire to.
Still working on it but I’m quietly confident

Interesting request! I have thought about doing this but have decided not to and to keep the lesson and song play through in one video. But never say never! Why would you prefer them separate? 🤔

It’s not instead of it’s, as well as. I’ve learnt the chord progressions and would benefit from practice the rhythm via repetition.
I’m really struggling with the rhythm and find I play it pretty well when I’m playing along with your play through.
Incidentally how long have you been playing the guitar and where in the world do you live?
For now, I think I’ll be keeping both lesson and strum along in one video. You can just skip to the end of the video and play the play along as many times as you need 😃🎶🙏 I’ve been playing guitar since I was 7! It was my first love! 🧡 so in total 25 years!! I’m from South Africa originally but living in Dubai now 🎉

Hi Amber, I am only reminding you to do some of my tutorials if you can like Ronan Keating When you say nothing at all, and make sure you have everything the same way as Ronan Keating like sawn chords, same strumming patterns and same fingerpicking patterns. Also could you do some Lady Gaga’s songs like Shallow, Always remember us this way, is that alright, I’ll never love again, Million Reasons also make sure you have everything the same way as Lady Gaga like same chords, same strumming patterns and same fingerpicking patterns. Also Garth Brooks songs like The River, If Tomorrow Never Comes, The Dance, ,also make sure you have everything the same way as Garth Brooks like same chords, same strumming patterns and same fingerpicking patterns. Also can you please find out how many times do we strum/fingerpicked each chords for all sections of the songs.

Awesome! 🤩 ❤️ happy practicing!! You can absolutely embellish the A and D chords. If the other embellishments are too tricky, then just stick to doing it on the chords you are comfortable playing! 🎶🌟

Hi! I do a walk through of every single chord from 1:23. First focus on that portion of the lesson and once the chord shapes are under your fingers you can join in at 7:17 with a play along with me 🎶🌟
Getting this one started xtra early for Xmas. Wasn't ready last year as I was just starting strumming. I'm definitely gonna play and enjoy this bittersweet classic. This and Blue Christmas have always been my 2 favorite Xmas songs. Their sad and beautiful, which is what I love most in my music. Thanks 4 the lesson stellar lady.
