@@dykimca yes double thank you for posting this!!! it's on my to do list for next year. how did you find descendig the the higher grey rock are/scrambling section, looks like you made it up pretty easy!!
you crushed this man. I saw this mountain up the Lake Louise gondola and thought, 'I bet someone recently scrambled this' and here is the video. Congratulations to everyone on this video.
Climbed there last month with my brother. Since we took the shuttle bus from lake moraine, we had to watch our speed. We are pretty novice identifying path, we had lots of troubles coming down, sort of putting us in dangerous spots and had to climb back up to correct our mistakes. We eventually decided to follow a couple of young ladies who were slow but steady and good at finding the right way. We did manage to get back and catch the bus. It’s a an amazing experience.
Thanks for this, and well done. This is a suberb accomplishment. It brought back some fond memories. I climbed in in 1988 and 1989, both times in August. The 2nd time I did a headstand in the snow at the summit just out of sheer exuberance. So I've heard, back on New Years night, 1967-68, Chic Scott and companions skied to the summit, under a full moon, -30° to celebrate the new year, just out of sheer exuberance. Mt Temple is somehow very special. Once again, thanks for the full video.👍
You're right. Temple is a special mountain for hikers in the Rockies. The view and sense of accomplishment at the summit are like no other. I'm really happy that my video gave you a chance to relive your memories. Thank you for enjoying my video.
Wow just completed this hike as decently in shape beginner (2nd time hiking) and you make this hike look easy, you completely killed this mountain i had to take a ton of breaks and really push myself to get up as the low oxygen was really getting me but that view from the top was so worth it, great video man i remembered a few scenes from it on the trail which helped us navigate when we were unsure
Thank you for posting this, I am using this as a guide. I did notice however, you left the parking lot at 0600 and arrived at Sentinel Pass at 1000 am then last in the video at 2:44:50 when you arrive at The Second Grey Rock Band it again is 1000 am again. curious what the actual time was that you arrived?
Oops, the arriving time at the Sentinel pass should be 8 am not 10 am. As I remember, we left parking lot at 6 am and be the summit around 12 pm. We stayed at the summit about one hour enjoying good sunny weather and view. We were back to parking lot around 5:30 pm.
It’s a pretty complex line from the pass to the summit, and it’s relatively hard to stay along that line. It’s deceptively easy to drift right and get stuck along the mountain at a few stages. Yellow band is sort of the point where you need to force yourself to hug the left side of the mountain to traverse, even if it looks counterintuitive. All in all, temple is moderate, you will have some difficulty wrapping your head around how the path works, as for the most part, its not logical how the path curls left when you look at it from below.
@@xyzimagenes Be sure to pick up a good guidebook if you're attempting your first time. I've summitted twice, the first time my dad got us lost, I was only 13 years old haha! We ended up stuck on a piece of ice hanging above a 300 foot ravine. The second time we went up we stayed on the path even when it made more sense to go right, and we made it up in good time and it was so beautiful. Definitely worth it, but super weird to approach without knowledge of the tricky parts. Stay Left! Have a great climb if you decide to go, I'm overselling how hard it is in the name of safety, because I want people to do it without getting stuck like I did the first time.
Nice video? Maybe can show more of the surrounding views as you climb then just mostly the climbing? Also the music is so sad. A faster tempo adventure music may sound more exciting and fun.👍
About 8.5 hours up and down if you go pretty stready and no snow. Wait till late summer it’s no joke it’s a dangerous scramble and if you fall at the crux you gone
Great video. Thanks for posting. Just remove the shitty music please. What is it? Sounds like some shit by Chopin. Silence is golden. I don't understand why so many hikers feel compelled to attach music to their otherwise good videos in nature.
I'm going to Mount Temple soon for the first time, and I'm studying your video. It's a great visual guide for me. Thank you for posting this!
Glad it was helpful!

Thank you for watching. Lise.
Amazing video. Thank you for this! Temple is in my list. Just not sure yet when to hike it because I am from Ontario and will be hiking alone.
Probably July to middle of September.
Fantastic video and congrats on your accomplishment!

Temple.
Wow!!! That's awesome!! Thanks for sharing Kevin. Truly inspiring! I cannot wait to try this challenge :D

how did you find the scrambling section on the second grey rock area?
@@jorykozak1239 You can find the ascent spot mark and small cairn there for easier route.
@@dykimca I mean did you find it difficult?
@@jorykozak1239 Nop. easy to find the route. Don't worry.

end of August. Thank you!

A visual masterpiece and a major accomplishment! Congratulations and thank you for posting this hike.
during which month was the hike made?
Thank you for this video. What month did you go? October?
Summitted on Aug 26, 2020.
Nice video? Maybe can show more of the surrounding views as you climb then just mostly the climbing? Also the music is so sad. A faster tempo adventure music may sound more exciting and fun.👍
There are tonnes of videos only showing the views. This one is great to get all the trail details. Music is perfect, fits the mountaineering pace
How easy or hard is it to descend the crux at the second rock band?
It was challenging for me. But easier than thought.
Also curious how long it took you to get down and back to parking lot?
how long does it take frome Moraine lake to the summit?
About 8.5 hours up and down if you go pretty stready and no snow. Wait till late summer it’s no joke it’s a dangerous scramble and if you fall at the crux you gone
How hard was the descend?
not too hard. easier than i thought.
What camera did you use and how was it connected to you?
Go Pro 7 with 10 extra batteries.
@@dykimca Was it attached on your helmet, backpack strap?
@@jethrotullcollection8446 Was not attached. I carried and recorded by hand.
