The songs are great, but when you see them with the choreography, they are just so perfect. I also thought Casey Nicholaw did an amazing job with the choreography of Spamalot, so I guess I should have expected that.
The choreography is absolutely genius. I especially like the tap dancing in Turn It Off, the flat-out amazing dancing in Two by Two, and I don't know why, but I just love the choreography in I Am Africa. Tl;Dr: The choreography in Book of Mormon is super appealing to watch, and the cast did an AMAZING job with it! (drinking game; take a shot everytime I said `choreography` lmao)
If you're thinking about the still of Mormon cast in skirts, that's because they play all the white women too, the moms at the airport and the All-American farmer's wives and such.
The choreography is fucking amazing in this. It visualizes the meaning behind the songs perfectly. Some of the stuff they do physically is hilarious.
I swear if Anything Goes wasnt going on, this show wouldve won best choreography at the Tony's. It's pure genius.
