I do no have thicknes info, but it can print on one of the Fine Art. When picking paper the paper will always bend a little bit from the rear tray. I suppose the paper can be quite thick, but not too hard.
Hi, Thank you for the review. I am thinking about Epson L805 or this one. Do you have any experience with L805 in comparison with this one? Especially about lifetime and durability?
Hi, the lifetime of printer heads on G600 is 10.000 photos, it may last longer. I have less experience with Epson L805. For sure the Canon G500/G600 does not need to be taken for service for ink absorber replacement, as there is maintenance cartridge.
Hi,Thx for the video, as compared to TS8300, did you mean the color is better or the detail is also better than TS8300? Would it be a couple of picture comparison of these two?
the G500/600 uses 6 inks to print photo, the TS8300 uses 5 inks to print photo. TS8300 has photo blue, while 6 inks has red and grey, so it has better color gamut, as photo blue was not really used a lot, rarely, red and grey in 6 ink CISS are equally used in printing
You've been very helpful with your great review.I'd like to ask if the document printing is so hoplessly slow and what is the true difference between pigment and dye ink regarding to quality and lifetime of the photo . Finally i'd like your opinion for something.I want the printer for printing family photos mostly and for printing some documents for my kid's school. Canon G640 is ok for the job or i have to spend twice the money for the Epson L8160? Thanks again and keep up the good work!
Hi, thank you for your video. I'd like to ask if the quality of G670 is also good on normal paper and cardstock, I mean, that's not specifically for photos. I'd like to use it for scrapbooking projects, like printing backgrounds pattern paper etc. Also for photos. Or do you recommend another printer? Thank you
The quality of this model is above my expectations, specially colors, so I can only recommend it. I am working on comparison with PRO-200 model and it is very close.
It has not been a long ago since Canon started selling them as consumable, previously the print head were available only as a service part so maybe you check the warranty service to sell them to you.
Just recently I tested and it looks good indeed. The PRO-200 is better, more details are visible, but that is gallery quality printer. The Grey ink does the job nicely. I will post greyscale print for the intro on setup, but first I need to finish unboxing😅 tnx for the comment
No need to worry, you can do nozzle check once a month to check print head is ok, and then vlean if needed. Printer will clean automatically if left too long not used.
Thanks for the video, nice one. I have Epson L805 and wish if i have this Canon G500 to compare the result. 6 ink with light cyan and light blue vs 6 inks with red and gray one ^_^.
Super detailed video. Thank you very much.
I still have the following question -
what thickness of paper can the printer print on.
I do no have thicknes info, but it can print on one of the Fine Art. When picking paper the paper will always bend a little bit from the rear tray. I suppose the paper can be quite thick, but not too hard.
probably about 270 g/m2
I just print 4 sheets 340g thick canvas media with no issues

you said the print on plain paper smudges when water is dropped on it. Is it the same on glossy paper, vinyl sticker paper and photos?
No, on glossy or other special paper the print is waterproof

Pigment is more UV resistent, professional printers like PRO-300 model uses 10 pigment inks, but that is PRO segment

I can't seem to find the printer heads for PIxma G550 in the Canon Shop. Where can I buy it if I need new printer heads?

is the g600 series the newes product?
This is very new product, coming now to the market.
Hello, I have a question. Currently G500 priced similar to IX6700 series, which one has better results?
G500 has better quality and much lower print cost, bit only A4 print size
@@PrintCloud really? by looking at ix6700 print resolution I expect better sharpness. So that's not the case here?
How frequent should I print before I trigger deep cleaning or any cleaning?

Is the ink Chromalife100 or not ?
Thank you.
👍it is Chromalife
@@PrintCloud I have not found anywhere confirmation that the ink is Chromalife100. Only on the American website Canon. Pixma G620.
Sir i am a student my need is study pdf (normal Black and white) and good quality photo printer and my choice is conon g3060 g500 please help
For really good photos I would take G500 or G600, G600 is a multifuncitnoal like the G3060
How much time it will take to print black and white text only....i.e what is the ppm for black and white text document prints

Is the ink Dye or Pigment ?
Thank you.
All inks are dye, tnx for the comment
@@PrintCloud Thank you. Great review.
how does the printquality compare from maxify gx, g600, g6000 to models without tank?
G600 G500 6 ink quality is great, even better than single ink 5-6 ink. 4 ink is similar to other 4 ink. Depends what is your primary use
I HAVE A STUDIO IN INDIA,G500 OR G600 WHICH IS PERFRCT TO US
if you need to scan too, then take G600, if you need only printer then G500
Does it supports pvc card printing
No tray for CD/DVD or PVC card print
I'm not finding that a G520 actually exists in the US.
