I have explained it in one part of this video. I will mention again' Primary is something which is must for restoration. The secondary is given ehen the remaining tooth is less for restoration but to improve the retention and resistance we give secondary features.
The latest books do not have any specific recommendations the disinfection of the tooth. The rest points are covered in the last section of above video :)
Earlier people used to recommend some solutions to disinfectant the tooth. The book does not mention that.. . Now the book only talks about the overdrying of Tooth. And using normal coolant to remove debris

Do gic need grooves?
Not ideal. It bonds chemicals. Grooves can help
Microscopes would be very handy in such procedures specially OPMI PICO or Extaro 300 Microscope from Carl Zeiss
