GTR gets more carbon!! In today's R35 GTR build series episode Marc from MD_interiors comes by the shop to install extended carbon fiber paddle shifters and carbon fiber trim! Last time you saw Marc, we installed the Carbon fiber digital steering wheel on the R35 GTR, so these carbon bits made the interior PERFECT! Also, we made a little trip to Mexico so Marc could do an INSANE burnout in his R35 GTR!!

replace the middle piece with carbon and wrap it in clear film so it doesn't scratch
clear film would ruin the feel of carbon and its gets really dirty and disgusting quickly

@@mperformance3502 cf feels very smooth to the hand if you wrap it in clear film it gets sorta sticky so its not worth doing that

Make the centre console carbon as well and then just clear wrap over it to protect so you don’t scuff the carbon with your watch or anything else.

I don’t know if you’ve done the carbon fiber center piece yet, but if you do get PPF put on it! Then you won’t have to worry about scuffs or anything as the film will protect it! Definitely recommend it! I’m getting a GTR in like 4-5 years and it will be getting PPF on almost the whole exterior before I ceramic coat it. But that’s besides the point haha.

Dustin for the center console trim you can put clear wrap on it before you install it so you won’t be scared of scuffing it and damaging it.
Yes carbon fiber the middle console!Just put a clear wrap over it to keep it safe if you get worried about scratching it!

On the center console you can put carbon fiber and them PPF on top of it.

You can do the center in CF and wrap it with clear so you don’t have to worry about scuffing it
Put some PPF onto the carbon trim for the center console. It’ll protect it from scuffs. Don’t see any reason why you can’t put some paint protection film on those pieces! :)

Love this series, Love your energy and passion for motorsport and the creation of something unique and amazing. Regarding the center trim and whether or not to replace it with a carbon trim, go for it. Replace it if it gets messed up. You'll love it while it looks mint.

do the center console and add a strip of clear vinyl to protect that section from your bracket scratches

Why not a carbon fiber 2-ply overlay thats velcro'd or double sided taped in for the center console, so its easy to remove and maintain in case you scratch it up as you mentioned? Easy maintenance...

Do full carbon everything inside and anything outside and think you should do a different colour on the car and upgrade the Turbos and everything else you can on the engine and make a 1 of a kind car
