I'd like to add my theory since the song somehow hits me right enough. Luka isn't being abused. She got with someone only because she was too scared to be on her own, and she wanted to be with someone for that reason. She was too scared to "sacrifice anything" because she knows what she feels for the person isn't really love, she just likes the feeling of being loved and if she continued with that decision, she'd sacrifice that feeling of being loved along with the ring (I believe this means she either got married or proposed to when she decided to leave.). In the end she does leave the person, thanking them for their kindness, and leaving behind the feeling of being loved, along with the ring.
