Great pod cast, everyone new that when you took out finance that you paid a commission on the finance, therefore you accepted it to be able to buy what you wanted. Going forward yes you should be told, but that is no reason to allow back tracking and close these businesses down. If they do then at the end of the day as Steve said costs will rise to re-coup the losses.
The new legal financial ruling, is about transparency (Missing in so much of UK life). Yes, it will mean less financial brokers, less financial products, increases in prices arguably, but at least the Consumer can get finance closer to the actual interest % amount being lent by the lender. The industry needed and needs a shake-up, as the commissions on finance were becoming increasingly greedy by the middle men/women. Zero empathy. It may decrease CamperVan buyers, which some will view negatively, others positively. Another arrow into the CamperVan, Motorhome and Caravan genre of holidays, which are already struggling. Interesting times!
Great suggestion! We continue to explore cleaning products that are specific to motorhomes. At the moment for discoloured silicon I use a cutting compound. And elbow grease! Thanks for commenting
I can understand if one was desperate to borrow some money for some life saving private medical treatment but who in their right mind is paying 12% APR for a leisure vehicle that is clearly obviously not a necessary purchase? Especially for 10 to 15 years. Absolutely ridiculous
All the folks who want a motorhome, don’t have the cash and don’t need life saving private medical treatment maybe? Remember, there is a level of protection too is an element of the purchase is made on finance.
Should the Supreme Court rule with or against the judge, what do you think?
