Stands like the Stretford end and the Kop should incorporate all safe standing terraces to somewhat replicate the atmosphere generated in the suthern tribune in dortmund , where as the rest of the stadium could have only the lower tiers being standing and the higher tiers being seated. An age requirement should be place perhaps fans aged 14 to 65 may only be allowed in the standing terraces.

What's the Valley Parade fire got to do with this? the stand had a mixture of standing and seating and the reason for the fire was down to the stand being made out of wood and massive bad luck, also the first picture was of a fire in Bradford, not the Valley Parade fire.

The Documentary looks to address the opinion that standing is supposedly linked to catastrophes such as Hillsborough. That is essentially the argument against having standing- they say they don't want another disaster.
The point being made is that standing wasn't the issue, it was ageing stadium architecture and poor health and safety measures (amongst other things) that was truly the issue. The Bradford fire is being used because it was a tragedy that occurred during that era, it's a big part of the story of how English football has evolved. Fair play on the pic though, never noticed that but you're right.

Bring safe standing to England, it's been proven by Germany for years that it works, WHY haven't we got it?

arsenal should get safe standing for like 6000 seats then during prem games we could have 10000 standing fans and there is still 54,000 seats would improve the library and make it more affordable

@YRJAY Yes they can. Standing areas exist at Brentford, Carlisle, Exeter, Hartlepool, Rochdale, Scunthorpe, Wycombe and Yeovil.

At Elland Road, the kop stands for the whole game but many resort to standing on their seats. surely this is more dangerous than standing on a terrace?

@1987iniesta You've never tried it as an away fan, you have an attack dog in a suited woman who does the rounds literally every quarter of an hour, barking at people to sit down, and threatening to bring in her purple-jacketed stormtroopers if you don't comply. I managed to escape her gaze by bobbing down whenever she appeared but standing as a visiting supporter at Elland Rd is more difficult than most grounds I've been to.

Overall, a good video. Fair play. Something needs to be done, and fast. They don't care about the supporters. The FA needs to get a grip as well.

Wolves have just announced that they are to redevelop Molineux. In a live blog session, one fan asked the Chairman if there would be any chance that safe standing could be incorporated into the new build, should the legislation be brought in. The Chairman side stepped the question a little by saying that at the moment the law states that the ground must remain all seated and that the club must work within the current legislation. Let's hope that Wolves and many other clubs allow safe standing

there should be a CHOICE at all football grounds for those who want to stand. If one stand at every ground is made terraced then those who want to stand can do so whilst those who want to sit also have that option

If somebody that chose to sit in the SAFE STANDING area complained about not being able to see, they should probably stay at home and watch it on the television

Overall, a good video. Fair play. Something needs to be done, and fast. They don't care about the supporters. The FA needs to get a grip as well. Nobody wants to support a club like Wigan, a club with no ambition. Supporters make a football club.

10.15 The quality of football is not the reason that the bottom 2 divisions are allowed terraces. It's the fact that the top 2 divisions have fewer fans going to the games.

But the Majority in every ground are quite happy with 1 Ticket 1 Seat.
So how are they a Minority you Fool
As for Liverpool FC you will never get Standing.Just keep breaking the Rules at Anfield but those who stand should be banned because others cannot see Bar Them Out.
