That march sounds very much like the regimental march of the Yorkshire Regiment the only march ever won in battle. they defeated the French at the Battle of Minden 1759 and adopted the defeated French song as their own march.
Many serve as the Governor General's guards, (the Queen's representative in Canada). They are very much intended to model the Queen's guards, as much of Canada's military tradition is derived from the U.K.
A fine Regiment with an outstanding history.

Actually that song was at the Battle Of Famars in 1799 called Ca Ira and the march is called Vive La Canadienne
