Hi Clara, I am going to Korea next month and I’ve been holding off on buying climbing shoes and equipment in hopes to find better quality, price, and styles there. What are your thoughts?
I got way less beta spray in korea than france but im a tall dark-skinned tatooed woman so I scared korean men haha. your video made me so nostalgic :( missing the route setting, the food and the cool ajussi and ajumma climbers :') when I was there people in busan used to get memberships at least for waverock cause you could go to all their gym with it (4 or 5 gyms ??) for info if ever someone is interested compared to France : _price : same as korea _route setting : even more dynamic, comp style a bunch of move you'ld never do outside, also french guys are slightly taller, setters tends to be men ... _french are less respectful of other, so expect people to not care if you're climbing and stay in the way you'ld fall _climbing gym with bar are really popular now so some people come and let their children run around, I would advice to avoid those gyms _we don't have much outdoor artificial lead walls started climbing in Korea, made so much friends there thanks to it, got to travel around with them to mountains and rivers (for bouldering), climbers are the nicest, I randomly found this video and it made me happy (sorry this comment is so long, I got super excited and even more since I'm pretty sure also rollerskate and I used to follow you for that haha)
I tried to google the name of the gym but couldn't find Seoul's Catchstone Climbing gym's address. Can you let me know what the address is or the website? Thank you for this video!
oo, thanks. I haven't been there yet, but i found that long beach rising style was soooo fun, and well thought out. i didn't realize kaya was creating a tripod culture, that's interesting!
Mostly! I have lots of english only friends who didn't have any trouble. If anything, the form you sign is slightly hard but they can tell you where to write what :)
Looking up gyms in Korea and saw your video. @14:05, we’re not all mansplainers. I tend to climb mostly with females because the tendency is toward a graceful and static style & more to how I like to climb. I learn more when I climb with a person similar in style to myself, but at a higher grade.
Climbing gyms in Korea has become even more popular ever since this video! Thanks for the great video
Awesome video! I'm going to Korea in a few months and am so hyped for the climbing. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hi, is regular chalk allowed to be used in climbing gyms in korea?
Yup
Movement santa clara might have the dynamic climbs you're looking for
and the tripod recording culture (kaya)
but it gets super busy
oo, thanks. I haven't been there yet, but i found that long beach rising style was soooo fun, and well thought out. i didn't realize kaya was creating a tripod culture, that's interesting!
